I’ve been thinking about the PS1 game ‘Driver’ a lot recently. It’s a game I spent a lot of time on during my youth, and whilst I’m sure it doesn’t hold up some 20 years later, it was still a highlight from my ‘gaming youth’....
Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, from Team Reptile, is out today! Team Reptile is best known for Lethal League and Lethal League Blaze. Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is frequently described as a spiritual successor to Jet Set Radio....
I’ve disliked realistic art styles for quite a while now. In the short term the games look beautiful, but in the long term, they’ll look dated. I’d much prefer a game having their own look and style to it, something that says “yeah, this is X game” just from a screen cap.
Look at JetSetRadio, Okami, Minecraft just to name a few, they’re easily identifiable because they have their own style
Not even, you still have to consider different components and operating systems, sometimes even what versions of the OS people are running since it’s not always cross compatible.
the people that use the steam community forums is minuscule compared to most forums. I doubt it would have had even 2% of the playerbase organized via the forums.
it’s like how when reddit users say “let’s boycott a game!” but then in total, the make up less than a % of total sales of that game
It’s still a good game, it just sucks as a fallout game. Like, the dialog is extremely linear. You have 4 options (you had more in the other fallout games) and it’s almost always a “yes”, “yes 2”, “more dialog” and “no”. It’s likely changed to accommodate controllers better and have less lines for the player character, but it just sucks that’s it’s the case.
Sorta the same with the story bits. In New Vegas nearly every, if not all NPCs were killable and you could still finish the story
When hanging out with friends in discord or whatever, what games do you all tend to sit down and play with one another? For me it's some combination of Valorant, Guild Wars 2, and Omega Strikers but I'm curious what everyone else plays with their friends :)
Doing things in games because it simple felt good.

Still like the game, even if it did not live up to expectations.
