Adding a bit more to the discussion on whether game subscription can be “the future”, it looks like despite the heavy push made in the past decade, subscriptions only make up 10% of total video game spending in the US....
I agree, my point was that this should have happened years ago. Android had this option from the start, and evolved with it in mind; iOS will probably have a rougher time dealing with this.

It did feel like it was somewhat empty, not many side quests, but I guess that’s better than fetch quests and collectible crap. I think a cross between this and Mass Effect Andromeda would be quite good.
I’ve severely reduced my purchases from Amazon in the last couple of years, in good part because of all the crappy crap they sell, it’s hard to find stuff using search, and it’s hard to trust the quality of what they sell. They’ve become ebay with faster shipping.
I’ve been recently been thinking about Arkane Studio’s Prey which is a immersive sim, with a pretty good rogue like dlc, that probably has one of the strongest hooks of any game I’ve played. If you liked Halflife, System Shock, or Deus Ex it’s definitely worth a play....
Which is the opposite of what smart companies like Adobe do. You facilitate the small players in hope that they grow big and keep using your products at a larger scale.

I was playing some Everspace 2 and while it sure is pretty and feels pretty good there was something lacking that I couldn’t quite put my finger on. I’m only 20 hours or so into it but I just felt like it wasn’t quite living up to my memories of Freelancer....
