Haha, very good point (and those aren’t even all the examples, lul).
And even Tuvix wasn’t there only ‘non-reverse Tuvix’, just the only abomination too horrible for the fabric of reality to ever contain.
If I would ever be in desperate need of help it would instantly comfort me to see a trekkie or a metalhead. The average wholesomeness is ridiculously high.
There are (normal, smart) people that are incapable of understanding it.
And I don’t mean not having enough context to understand it, I mean the simplest things.
I have a college like that. She learned to recognise the blank expression on my face when she immediately starts explaining to me how it was physically impossible for me to do what I just said & just goes “ohh, that was sarcasm probably, right?” … I however still get surprised by her (eg her questioning my morning city commuting abilities of arriving at the office 5 minutes before I left home if I drive fast enough through the traffic … ok, not the best example, but the fucking normal/everyday/intuitive physics of it, how could you even start questioning that?).
On the other hand, I find witty fast sarcasm kinda hot.
That’s my headcanon as well, even if it doesn’t/might not quite fit the lore exactly 100%.
Like, the queen can instantly inhabit any (or all?) advance drone and at the same time a queen can restore the collective if something were to happen to it.
However Im super happy how the Borg queen arc in Picard ended (RIP actress :|), so for that alone I’m ok with a queen.
It always caused me some pause when thinking how Borg are selective in assimilation and how they even actively discard irrelevant (but already assimilated) data.
But then I remember humans and our “works” … so yes, Borg are smart.
I wish to be assimilated. I’ll complete their meme database in exchange for deleting everything else I can’t delete myself.
… is this like the time they lowered obesity rates by changing the definition of obesity??
And additionally this time they “help” people(s financial situation burdened by high levels of debt) by letting them get even more indebted? Isn’t the central bank supposed to have a say in this (for purposes of market stability as commercial bank regulator)?
Or is financial score something that persists even after all debts are payed? (That’s dystopian af)
Probably that dude: “The D-Fay defence was a failure, the reinforcements were too far away and so many brave warriors were lost to raiders on small sea boats.”
