A bit of a weird title, but basically what’s a game that’s more than a year old but still considered “modern” that you love? There’s no real strict definition for modern, I’d just like to see some discussion around great games that aren’t quite classics yet (but probably will be one day)....
Also if you have an entrance on the ground and build the rest of the base above it you should be set for the early game stuff. (see the first picture on the bases wiki page)
I hope it works for you. I think I’ve played it more than any other game. The wiki is a fantastic resource if you’re feeling stuck.
This just hit me as an interesting example of an analysis that can take all the available data into account and considered through all kinds of lenses, but without a key will never be interpreted correctly (this is assuming you can’t just google the phrase). It reminds me of the darmok episode of tng where the computer couldn’t interpret a foreign language because it was based on a history of shared memes
Did they ever fix the issue that an American teen used a hilariously bad interpretation of the Scots language to write thousands of articles on the Scots wiki?

I used to use a website where you could send a postcard to a randomly assigned address of another site member on there, and in return you’d get a postcard back from a different random member. One time I wrote the address too close to the stamp area so I could only fit one stamp up there, and had to put the remaining stamp postage at the bottom, and then I dropped it in a mailbox in town somewhere.
Japan Post missed the extra stamps at the bottom and so returned it to my house, despite it being a postcard with no return address to a random country I had no connection to. I lived in the boonies so there weren’t a lot of foreigners in town, but there were definitely at least a few others.
I mean, Nintendo’s been around for over 100 years. As long as GabeN’s successor isn’t gonna sell the platform to any shit company for a bajillion dollars I don’t see why valve can’t make it at least one more generation.

President Joe Biden is taking fresh steps to help keep gas prices from climbing. For Republicans to see this as “disgusting” and “disgraceful” is bizarre.
I think there’s a valid argument to be made that the cheeto did “outsmart” the gop, for certain values of smart. He tapped into the country’s desire for overt racism under a strongman fascist figure in a way no one else was recognizing in 2016, and as a result he made every single GOPer bend the knee to him, even his most vocal critics.
Sure, that could only happen to a party with no policy and zero principles, but he did it. He became the chief pile of shit on his throne overlooking his subjects made of watery diarrhea.
GabeN has pretty much all the moneys and doesn’t seem to be the kind of guy who needs a dick shaped rocket to feel like his daddy loves him. The only way Valve is going anywhere is after he kicks it.
Jokes aside, a lot of devs love watching stuff like speedrunning. It means someone loved their creation enough to minutely analyze it and spend countless hours with it.
(I’m pretty sure there was similar version of this where they guy wasn’t in the room and they were just watching the earlier recording of the speedrun but I can’t find it now)
The Japanese town of Fujikawaguchiko has erected a giant black net to block views of Mount Fuji, a reaction to the town’s huge popularity on Instagram and other social media platforms....
Most visitors do not spend the night in Fujikawaguchiko, preferring to come in for a day trip but stay in busier Tokyo – just 62 miles (100 kilometers) away – at night.
This means that there’s no money coming in – from entry tickets, museum passes, or hotel fees – to balance out the damage caused by thousands of visitors or the erosion, trash and traffic issues they bring with them. As a result, the town of just 10,000 people has struggled to cope.
The town is called (Mt) Fuji River Mouth Lake… feels like when they established the place they could’ve edited it down a bit to make it roll off the tongue better. It’d be like a town in the US called Shastaportsmouthpond
Weeks after winning a school board seat in her deeply red Texas county, Courtney Gore immersed herself in the district’s curriculum, spending her nights and weekends poring over hundreds of pages of lesson plans that she had fanned out on the coffee table in her living room and even across her bed. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greenewas booed on the House floor Wednesday afternoon by Republicans and Democrats after bringing forward her motion to remove House Speaker Mike Johnson....
Greene ran for re-election after winning a legal challenge to her eligibility based on her alleged involvement in organizing and promoting the 2021 United States Capitol attack, based on the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, which bars people who have engaged in insurrection from serving in Congress. While Greene won by a comfortable margin, this was the worst showing ever by a Republican in the 14th district, and the best performance of a Democrat in this district, being the first time since the district was created that the Democrat received more than 28% of the vote.
If you’re asking about the primary, there aren’t any numbers on the wiki page (and I’m too lazy to go looking for any more), but it lists the following people who lost the republican primary to her:
Eric Cunningham, sales executive
James Haygood, farmer
Charles Lutin, physician and veteran
Jennifer Strahan, CEO of J. Osley & Co.
Seth Synstelien, educator
At least a couple of those sound a bit more impressive than part-time crossfit coach and full time conspiracy theorist whackadoo. I’m guessing the first time she got in was riding the MAGA reality denial wave, and the second time was mostly because of name recognition. Maybe she’ll run out of steam for this election, considering the reception by her own party in relation to the above OP.
That’s why Shadow Warrior 2 was so disappointing after the first reboot. Reboot was an updated fps thay even managed to make the sword melee relevant through the whole game. 2nd one was a bullet spongy mess
A former Milwaukee election official convicted of misconduct in office and fraud for obtaining fake absentee ballots was sentenced Thursday to one year of probation and fined $3,000....
I read the article but I still don’t understand this. Did she print fake ballots? Did she receive a stack of fake ballots from someone else? Did she send them to people so their votes wouldn’t count, or do anything else with the fake ballots other than have them?
I’m not trying to defend her I just have no idea what’s going on in this situation.
There was someone in reddit awhile back that started a community review site because there were so many bad games to sort through. I’ve found some good ones through there
Yeah true. I liked a couple of the new characters but I wish they hadn’t just kept cycling through new powers. Feels like with the freedom to change the fundamental premise they started with it let them focus on lower hanging fruit stories than trying to create deeper plots with the established story.
In Japanese they don’t say yes, they say good. The word for good is ii (sounds like eee). There’s not a different consonant or vowel to break up saying “good” over and over, so you just hear iiiiiiiiiiiiii.
