Hey! Just seeing this now, thanks for the update on supermeter!

Personally I made my account on this instance since I was using Lemmy first, and wanted to make a move to something that hosted it's source code away from Github, so that's why I decided to swap to Kbin, and this instance specifically since I was wanting to help support the diversity of the Kbin ecosystem by making an account on a smaller instance.

If there's anything I can do to support the server financially, I'd be more than happy to do so when I have the funds available!

Thank you! I appreciate the offer to help out financially. There's no need for donations right now, but I'll think about creating a way to donate if more users join.

Also, nice to know why people have joined. I'll add some fighting game-specific features in the future (the aforementioned bot), but this can definitely be a general-purpose small server for anyone that wants to use it that way.

I’m curious if that works out, but why not, let’s try this

Whoa, I was not aware that this existed. I'll have to check it out. I never played the original Double Dragon games, but I did play a lot of that genre on the Sega Genesis, and recently loved Streets of Rage 4.

I definitely agree with this reviewer that some older beat-em-ups were a little short on mechanics. Very cool that newer games are finding ways to innovate on the classic beat-em-up formula.

tuckerm, in Struggled with Fightcade cause scripts refused to work, here's so that others have less of a bad time (Also a bonus for Flatpak installers)

Thanks, this is great!

I've never used Fightcade to play online, but I still use it often since it seems to be the most "it just works" way of playing classic fighting games. The "Test Game" button OP mentioned will run the game so that you can just play singleplayer if that's all you're wanting to do.
