Curious about y’alls opinions on this. I like the idea of getting new people to experience an older game by aligning it to modern graphics and accessibility standards. But capitalizing on nostalgia with quick updates to that make it look modern rather than making new games seems like just more of studios trying to squeeze...
I like remakes, in a lot of instances it’s the games I have already played, but it has been a while. Mass effect 1, Resident Evil 2-4, Demon’s Soul. Also, so many of these companies put so much money and time into new games that it’s a nice little bonus to get a remake in between those huge releases.
The base dlc is is mixed reviews and there are plenty of reviews stating how hard bosses hit and how the scaling seems pointless, so no, the article is not BS.
I think most people have used guides, but I wonder how much guide people use. Take me for instance, I play blind as much as possible, but I look up a guide to see if there are any weapons that I can miss in a playthrough.
The fact is that it’s hard to get the actual statistic. To truly make the comparison 1-to-1, we need to count how often they are alone in the woods with a bear and how often they are alone with a man. My two cents: if you have been comping enough in bear country then you know that bears are kinda always around and they just don’t bother anyone.
During today’s Ubisoft Summer Game Fest showcase, the publisher took a moment to acknowledge that, yes, its long-in-development and oft-delayed Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake is still being made. But if you wanted to play it soon…bad news. It won’t be out until sometime in 2026....
I was fine with what they originally showed. Yes, it wasn’t the prettiest game out there, but if it was modernized enough then I really didn’t care about the graphics that much.
I love my steam deck and I doubt I would be replacing it any time soon, but if someone comes up with something with a more appealing form factor, like something that can fit in my pocket then I’m sold. It doesn’t need to be super graphics intensive, just needs to be able to play some easy to pickup-and-play games like stardew and slay the spire.
It’s an unpopular opinion in most forums, but I love most gaming journalists. I prefer their podcasts and their articles and their opinions way more than any YouTuber/streamer. I just get more insightful and less bias information from them.
Makes sense, I love strategy games, but I end up playing more variety of “casual” games than these “in-depth” games. Simply because I stick with one in-depth game for a while, whereas I roll credits for casual games multiple times a month.
Somehow YouTube algorithm showed me this dumbass’s video that was something like “Charlie Kirk destroys a college student with a great comeback”. I think I lost brain cells by watching it even halfway. His argument for being smart, even though he didn’t finish college, was naming couple of guys that the student might not know and saying how he got rich.
Yes, I know that, but they haven’t done anything egregious in quite some time. Microsoft, Sony, Take-two, Embracer and Activision have been been making a lot worse headlines for the last few years now.
I was not a big fan of BG3 or even the divinity series, but I love Larian. Their products show clear passion for the budget they have, they don’t bad mouth other dev just to gain some brownie pts with gamers (CDPR) and their games are well supported.
To me it just felt like divinity with higher budget. It has Proper cinematic cutscenes and different rules to the combat. I guess I just don’t like CRPGs, I never properly feel immersed in the world.
You are giving me same vibes as myself, that meaty comment is spot-on. The game tell you that you’re traveling continents, but it never really feels like it, maybe we need a bit more imagination lol
From what I can tell, the show is doing great with most people, but some fans have been proclaiming that “it’s not good if you’re a fan of the video games”, but then I see people responding with “I am a huge fallout fan and I love the show”. Also, Tim Cain, the co-creator of fallout, loves the show; he loves the details in the background so much that he sometimes missed the dialogue.
So, from my pov, who has not watched the show or played the games, it seems like some people are throwing out “as a fan of the series…” to validate their opinion.
At the end of the day it’s apples to oranges. The behind the scene development is so different that we can’t really judge them properly, we just have other modern games to compare them to.
I might not even be exaggerating with this number, but 99.9% of these types video game videos (someone talking to the camera) are the most stupidest topic ever. They take a non-issue and just blow it up. I get that negativity gets more clicks, but it’s still sad at how many clicks they get compared to actual insightful videos.
