I have used Android and even tried to switch to Android a few years ago, but whenever I use Android, I can’t shake the feeling that uncle Google watches whatever I do, I don’t get the same feeling when I use iOS.
Weather either feeling is accurate I can’t say, but I hesitate to trust an ad compny’s OS over a computer company’s OS.
Again, that is just a feeling, I make no claim wither way which is factually better.
Meanwhile, here in Sweden, when I get a perscription, my doctor types on his computer for five min, I then walk to any pharmacy, hand them my ID, of they have it they will offer a cheaper alternative, if they don’t have any of the medicine, they will tell me which pharmacy does, if none has it they will order it for me.

This makes me wonder about if people have completely forgotten about just taking a step back and considering what you are actually about to do…
Then I remember the endless stream of hate and anger that can be targeted towards anyone and how it never mentions reflection or just calming down.
Reflection tells you that the world is complex, and that your actions have concequences, it has all the questions, but few absolute answers, hate has no question, but all of the absolute answers, hate tells you that the world is simple, and that the other guy deserved it.
Sorry, this post turned out more pilosophical than I expected…
There are two kinds of escooters, the rentable, and personal.
The rentable escooter are absolute shit, they are scattered over cities, making is difficult for disabled people to get by, they promote use without helmets which increase severity and frequency of accidents, they also are driven recklessly.
The personal escooters are mostly fine, people drive them less recklessly, often wear helmets and in general take better care of them.
Both types are bad in that they move people away from existing public transport lowering demand meaning that public transport gets less money which lowers the quallity and again moves people away from public transport.
Ebikes doesn’t have that direct cause and affect as they mostly replace cars, ebikes also tend to have less severe accidents as the result of the combination of larger wheels with better banace, a better riding possition with a lower center of gravity again improving balance
I just posted a comment about my reasons for making the distinction in this thread.
EDIT, why is this being downvoted? I get that you may disagree with my viewpoints, downvote them if you must, but this is simply a comment letting a user know that I posted an explanation.
If the rentable bikes are just scattered throughout the city with no regard for pedestrians or traffic, then yes, they are bad.
If that doesn’t happen, then no, they are fine.
Here in Stockholm the transit authority has noticed a shift from public transport toward escooters, it seems to have stabalized for now, but that could easily change.
Our healthcare system has also noticed a big uptick in patients who has had their jaw smashed, all from escooter accidents, people have been run down and have been injured by escooter drivers, some has even died.
I am happy that it works for you, but in my experience rentable escooters is just plain dumb.
Eh all the workers has to do to significantly delay production if not outright make the facility unusable to the Chinese is to flood them with sea/lake water.
As a Swede I read news about the American prez ellection while on the bus home from work, and I just get madder and madder, then I suddenly realize that I am not a US citizen and don’t even live in the US, and I relax…
Based on his record, a few articles snd forum posts explaining what should happen, all of which will be ignored by the legal system, there won’t even be a baliff giving Mr. Trump a heavy slap, which seems apropriate with how Mr. Trump behaves.
Our results show that women's contributions tend to be accepted more often than men's [when their gender is hidden]. However, when a woman's gender is identifiable, they are rejected more often. Our results suggest that although women on GitHub may be more competent overall, bias against them exists nonetheless.
Looking at their comment history they seem to allways include that link to the CC license page in some attempt to prevent the comments from being used with AI.
I have no idea of if that is actually a thing or just a fad, but that was the link.
Yeah, that is my take as well, at first I thought it was completely useless just like the old Facebook posts with users posting a legaliese sounding text on their profile trying to reclaim rights that they signed away when joining facebook, but here it is possible that they are running their own instance so there is no unified EULA, which gives the license thing a bit more credibillity.
But as you say, bots will just ignore the links, and no single person would stand a chance against big AI with their legal teams, and even if they won the AI would still have been trained on their data, and they would get a pittance at most.
If you get a bad time on level 3, you have plenty of chanses to recover on the next 9 levels.
Or, perhaps if you have a fantastic times on levels 3, 7 and 9 that earned time can be used to compensate on level 12, making the time possibly still good enough.
Nah, it is disconinued since many years, I thought it was kinda neat at first, but realized it would be faster to just use the full firefox browser instead.
Well, they choose to take that risk, that is what an investment is, you buy somethibg that you hope will increase in value, but sometimes you make a bad investment and loose money, that is all part of the game

I don’t know exactly how the fan server was implemented as I am not a developer, but I would assume that the team analyzed the calls between the master server and the client and built a server to respond like the real master server.
Also the master server doesn’t actually host any games it is just a simple server that collects and distributes a list of active servers, then the client checks in with every server listed and gets more information.
As for how this applies to the current situation, I thought it was obvious… ditch the whole central gameplay server concept, go back and host a master server and let other people set up their own servers to play on.
Then the resources needed for the server the publisher needs to maintain will be minimal and when they don’t want to run it further then the fans are able to build their own master server and let it run for as long as they want it.
