I setup a Dell Inspiron 2-in-1 for my Dad with Fedora 40 Kinoite. He wants a basic stylus but I don’t know anything about them. All the info I can find on the product page is saying that you can use an “active pen.” What am I looking for in a stylus to let me know if it’ll work? The Dell and Wacom stylus’ say they’re...
Hey, I wanna know your preferred laptops, used is better and to run Linux on it. Something with at least 16gb and 512 SSD is good. Budget range. Thank you!
This is going to be unpopular, and I will accept the down votes. Also, I will never support Trump or any of his lackies. However, those on this forum believe that she is writing that as “finish them” towards the Palestinians, when in actuality I bet she’s writing that as “finish them” towards hamas. That doesn’t excuse anything. Just stating that they believe they are killing terrorists. They are just ignoring the innocent. Good intentions don’t justify this though let me make that very clear.

This is super simple. In 2022 the US federal government brought in $2.18 Trillion in revenue from federal income tax. Roughly %66 percent of Americans make over $50,000 and the median income of that group of people is around $60,000 a year. If it was made illegal to be compensated by anything other than USD (paid with stocks, etc. and those loopholes). $0-$50,000 is not taxed. If you make over $50,000 you pay a flat %17 income tax period. That would bring in roughly $2.24 Trillion in federal income tax revenue. No loop holes, no deductions, just %17 off the top. Then you can disband the IRS which costs $16 Billion a year to run. Don’t need the IRS if everyone pays the same. That would be totally fair. You make $60,000 a year you pay $10,200 a year, you make $1 Billion a year $170,000,000 a year.
Right now Billionaires don’t have money just lying around to pay taxes with, it’s tied up in owned business, properties, stocks, etc. I know, this is a part of the internet that just wants to eat the rich, I’m not one of them. They are just playing the game. The problem is the government allows them to play the game in such a way that is able to make them a lot more money. The problem is, the rules the government has made allows this to happen. If you drastically simplify the tax code, like to be one paragraph and eliminate the loop holes, it will settle itself out. The only way to do that though is to replace every person in Washington because they are taking advantage of it as well.
Tried for days to get a windows 11 guest to work on KVM with virt manager. Couldn’t get very good performance at all. Virtual box with guest drivers is pretty close to bare metal for me. I’d love to use KVM but can’t get good performance
For what i heard, a lot of people on the Linux community use Krita for image manipulation, even though, it’s intended for digital painting, and GIMP is the one intended for image manipulation, because people don’t like the GIMP’s UI....
I think it’s all about use case. I’m not 100% sure but the way I use GIMP probably wouldn’t work in Krita. I use GIMP mainly for removing backgrounds so they are transparent, as well as converting raster images to paths so I can make dxf’s of them. This is very easy and fast in GIMP. I think it all just depends on use case.
I’ve been using this for a few days now. The only thing that might make me return to GBoard is the offline voice to text GBoard has. Is that possible to implement in the future?
