Unity issue an apology on Twitter for "confusion and angst" over the runtime fee policy. (nitter.net)

We have heard you. We apologize for the confusion and angst the runtime fee policy we announced on Tuesday caused. We are listening, talking to our team members, community, customers, and partners, and will be making changes to the policy. We will share an update in a couple of days. Thank you for your honest and critical...

Chetzemoka,

They're game devs, not an acquisition and mergers team. "We signed contract to do business with xyz terms" should be plenty reliable enough for conducting business. Not "Lol, whut? You didn't read the fine print? Psyche! We're changing everything."

Unity deserve to get sued into oblivion for this

Chetzemoka,

Does this person think working shifts are just magic? You show up at 4am on a Saturday unscheduled and they just pay you with no complaint? People just get as much unauthorized overtime as they want?

I understand that's not the kind of work he's suggesting, but it is the kind of work that the vast majority of us do. Stop trying to normalize the hustle. We need to go back to RESPECT for the 9-5 working person and pay them enough to have comfortable lives

Chetzemoka,

This is an actual conversation I had with my oldest nephew when we went to the Boston Tea Party Museum last week.

"If you ever hear people complaining that damaging commercial property during a protest is unacceptable, remember what you learn about the Tea Party today. Our country was literally founded on protests trashing commercial property. And remember that some people complained to them that it was unacceptable too."

Chetzemoka,

With that username and you don't say Hollow Knight right out the gate, I am disappoint 😂

(Seriously though, OP, Hollow Knight is cheap and amazing.)

Chetzemoka,

I'm mildly obsessed with HK lol. I only got it in Dec 2022 and I just beat The Radiance for the first time a few weeks ago. I can't seem to manage it a second time, so I literally just bought the game on Steam and got an Xbox controller because it's more responsive than my Switch. I'm not sure what happened to my life haha

(Still waiting for someone to get my reference though. Not HK related :)

Chetzemoka,

I'm not a gamer.

I beat the original Contra on NES and I've barely played anything ever except the first Animal Crossing and AC:NH during the pandemic.

I picked up Hollow Knight for Christmas last year and it's the first game I've played to completion in literally 35 years. I just got [no spoilers] ending with 105% completion like two weeks ago.

I can't begin to convey how much I love this game. It's definitely what I'm (still) playing this week.

Chetzemoka,

It really is though. I'm super excited for you :)
