I want to extract and process the metadata from PNG images and the first line of .safetensors files for LLM’s and LoRA’s. I could spend ages farting around with sed or awk but formats of files are constantly changing. I’d like a faster way to see a summary of training and a few other details when they are available.

The consequences of voting or not voting for you are exactly the same as they are for every other voting age American. It’s really not that complicated.
State preemption should make this dead on arrival. When California just passed a data broker deletion bill and now 16 states have passed comprehensive privacy laws of their own while congress has their collective insane thumbs up their asses, it seems fucking crazy to ensure that the only way privacy legislation of the future can happen is if congress gets their shit together.
Floor not ceiling preemption is a thing. And last year TEXAS passed data broker registration bill. I do trust the Texas legislature to be more likely to be able to get stuff done into the future then congress.
I can’t tell you how encouraging it is to see this. Yes, absolutely. Preemption of state laws would be disastrous. I can not fathom why, while states are actually passing privacy laws (hello all you amazing data broker laws coming online esp in CA) we would want to make sure the only entities that can legislate privacy into the future are congress. It’s fucking madness.
Republicans and bought and paid for democrats. That’s the reason. We’re never getting a federal privacy bill with bipartisan support unless it’s preemptive of stronger state law. It’s a shit deal and that industry likes it should tell you everything you need to know

Audiobookshelf! Self hosted and perfect for audiobooks and podcasts alike. And bonus: you ca archive all those hardcore histories before they get off the free stream.
Yeah I think you might be missing something tbh. My Audiobookshelf auto downloads new episodes, playlist features work fine, sort features work fine. I don’t know if there’s a way to throw every downloaded but not yet listened to episode in a playlist, but I haven’t ever needed that feature. For keeping up with my podcasts though across platforms and for all my day to day podcast needs it has excelled.
In the real world it’s a real election year with a real chance Donald Trump becomes president again. Really. So yes, it’s really obviously relevant and important to keep that in mind. In the real world you have to look at the options available to you and act on those realities.
Files already had a search button, but now, you get a new search icon in the top-left corner of the window, and the older search icon gets a new look. gnome 46 global search button screenshot
You can also head to search settings to adjust how you want to look for things.
The new search button lets you search across the system. However, the older one (with a new look) lets you search inside the current folder/directory you are in.

Ortholinear doesn’t necessarily mean not QWERTY though. I’m running an ortho QWERTY layout. I don’t really understand the appeal of breaking your brain for an entirely new layout tbh, but ortholinear just makes sense ergonomically.

The writer got mad when a goblin shoved Astarion off a cliff. It reminded me of when I had Karlach shove a goblin in lava, then a goblin ran up and shoved HER in the lava. I didn’t get mad; I took it as a learning moment: enemies can shove me back, so move away from the lava.
The author really loved the sound of their own voice. I’m a dozen paragraphs in and there’s not an actual argument to back up the assertion that “it’s not fun” besides combat being “tedious”. I mean, look, I gave up 5e in favor of other systems after the OGL disaster and haven’t looked back, but this is a garbage tier article and I’m surprised it made it through Polygons editors, given how many of their writers and members have been espousing their joy for the game. Criticism is great, but “it’s not any good” just seems lazy and contrarian for contrarian sake.

Is this… half of the keyboard? Or do you have a mode switch or something so you type the mirrored key? What kind of WPM can you get? It’s super cool, it hasn’t occurred to me that you could have a one handed keyboard
