What games have you played in the last 365 days that stand out to you as the most memorable experiences?

I think the most common answer is going to be Tears of the Kingdom, and that is one for me that stands out for sure, but I will try to add some more unique inputs as well. Many are games that came out longer than a year ago, but i didnt get around to playing until more recently....

I haven’t seen it mentioned, so I’ll say The Last Campfire. Cozy, cute, a bit challenging, and the story was worth it.

Games on GOG?

Hello! I’m looking for any game recommendations on GOG – especially anything that’s on sale! Tell me about your favorite few games that you have on GOG, or maybe some gems in the rough out there. I’ve seen a few threads on Steam lately, so it feels appropriate to me to look for some love on one of the smaller game...

I'd say getting all my characters in FFX upgraded to max with all their ultimate weapons, too.

I’ve fallen into a deep gaming rut lately. What game(s) helped “get you back into” gaming and rediscover the magic of video games?

I, like many gamers, grew up playing Pokémon Red and Nintendo 64 and was obsessed with Nintendo products. I graduated to a PS2 and PS3 and became super into Metal Gear Solid and Call of Duty and Fallout. Also spent a ton of time with the Guitar Hero series. I loved the escape gaming brought me and it genuinely helped me relax....

How old are your kids?

I ask because if they're really little, you could try to play Tears of the Kingdom with (small spoiler) one of the "alt characters" enabled, then give them a controller that isn't connected. It's a win-win, because you get to play and spend time with your kid, but you also don't have to cater to their level of play, if you get my meaning.

I looooove many of the Glitch games, like Forever Lost. If you haven't played it, The Room is also a classic.

Seconded! Those are great.

I'm a 47-year-old female gamer.

I'm with you—I'm not going to allow peer pressure to get to me, but it's obvious that people believe it's childish. Fuck 'em. I think it's a better hobby than mindlessly watching TV, for sure.
