I switched from dark moon greatsword to a bleed build and my dps tripled against the divine beast.
The early bosses have huge magical resistance, each regular attack from my sword dealt 700 damage vs 800 + bleed from Eleonora’s Polearm despite being much faster.
I’m glad there are more larval tears I missed though, I was worried I’d run out before trying some more builds.
I think it would take away from the game if you could just change the difficulty from the settings.
Part of what makes souls games special is that they put a wall in front of you and it’s up to you to figure out how to get past it. You can make it easier on you by asking for help through summons, spirits, improving your build or you can learn how to fight them with what you already have.
When you make a game that looks like Fallout, sounds like Fallout, plays like Fallout and you reveal as “From the Creators of Fallout New Vegas” people are going to expect Fallout New Vegas.
Cyberpunk is part of the cyberpunk subgenre and has a premade main character.
Fallout is a post apocalyptic game set in a retro futuristic universe.
Outer Worlds is not post apocalyptic but being in barren planets in the frontier gives it a much more similar vibe. It’s basically a spiritual successor to Fallout that falls short in a lot of aspects.
I don’t think Outer Worlds is bad but if they couldn’t live up to New Vegas they shouldn’t have set the expectations they did.
I’m playing Blacktail, it came out last year and went under the radar but it’s really good. It’s based on classic fairy tales before they were disneyfied.
They are hard to find because they aren’t credited exclusively as writers but I know Ferret Baudoin worked as a writer and senior developer for most Bethesda games, including Starfield.
Every expansion is basically the same package, a 4 to 6 hour story with bad to ok writing and a ton of padding + a new location with some repetitive activities and a raid.
That’s not 50$ worth of content, you could almost get a new game for that amount. Hell, Shadow of the Erdtree is 10$ less.
You can enlist (for a small freedom fee) at the local recruitment office and become a Helldiver yourself.
You can help spread freedom and democracy across the galaxy by helping Super Earth gather totally not oil and destroying opposing, and obviously undemocratic, ideologies.
I think in-universe you are trying to keep the environment in balance but it’s so hard to make a good story for a game exclusively about killing and wearing monsters that it never works out.
Iceborne ends with the main characters thanking Nergigante only for that particular Nergigante to be the target of a future hunt regardless.

Eternal pretty much integrates the Sci-fi story of the first game with the medieval fantasy lore it had in the codexes.
It’s a bit jarring in the first few levels because you don’t have a lot of the new tools so the game is still pulling it’s punches in case you need to get used to 2016’s mechanics I think.
I think it really clicks around the time you get the super shotgun and the mobility you get comes into play.
The tone is goofier than 2016 but in a metalhead’s drug trip kinda way that works really well in my opinion.
You should give it another shot and stick with it until you have the full arsenal, it has a ridiculous amount of depth.
This is affecting many PC gamers around the world, such as myself, as the last 3 PlayStation releases on Steam have been blocked in many countries. I wanna know what’s your take on this. Please be respectful, and thank you. 😊
Huge W. Maybe the Stop Killing Games campaign, combined with some very real market realities, will save more games like this from companies with the liberty to do so. Unfortunately, it sounds like multiplayer will likely still depend on Steam servers rather than supporting LAN (I’d be happy to be proven wrong), but this is way...
I mean, RTS is never going to be that kind of mainstream again, it’s too complicated and can’t be monetized in the way that something like a shooter can.
