I’m trying to have a laugh about how my controversy* turned into another controversy*. Already there is an idea of negativity. Im literally laughing in my chair at the absurdity of this whole thing. It’s funny. Can’t you just see the funny?
No. Not at all. I asked if a style of split keyboard exists. Some people were being dicks. It’s just a Three Stooges kind of comedy making fun of the absurdity.
I asked for help. Man. People just want to judge sometimes.

“It’s the internet, duh!” Someone has to start calling that shit out at some point. We can make a nicer world.
I asked if the keyboard in panel 3 existed. A lot of people were helpful. A few were being rude. I posted the meme without the green/red or editing happy faces back onto the majority of the mob in panel 4.
Some people accused me of calling the whole community assholes, and, despite clarifying I was poking fun at the mean ones, so many persisted to accuse me of horrible offenses.
So I edited it to address that complaint so now it is very clear only a few turned angry…
The way internet messages hit, it doesn’t have the same impact as a crowd booing a bully away in person. Downvotes are practically invisible.
I really do want the overall message not to be that the crowd is mean. It was more that my ask caused a conversation that had enough community action tha it caused a large conversation.

I really am not trying to say the community is a bunch of assholes. I found it pretty silly that ergonomic keybpards come in so many risiculously dofferent forms, and so many people were opposed to my proposed layout
I was poking fun that all these crazy keyboards exist, but when i asked for my layout, there was pushback. People telling me that i was doing it wrong blah blah.

Thanks. I got a little huffy at some points because I get frustrated when an idea presented is met with the negatives and not cooperarion for how it could work. Personal flaw. I reigned it back, but not everyone sees. It sucks, but I hope people see I am trying to only be positive .

I think having a split keyboard so my mouse can be in the middle would really help my comfort at the desk. Is there a style that doubles up the middle keys? My typing style means sometimes I use my right hand to hit T, left to hit Y, etc....

Nothing I typed had anger behind it. I was having a conversation and some of it was asking why you’re acting as my habit is so terrible.
You guys make custom keyboards. I wanted to know. People were helpful. Now people are not leaving me alone because i said the way information given to me wasn’t helpful.
