I’m all for their cause but they’ve been going about it the wrong way every single time. They do nothing but piss the general public off. The very people you actually need to get on your side.

And delivering above and beyond. 1.6 recently came out for Stardew Valley and the game has been out for 8 years.
CA is easily in the top list of all time greats for game development. It blows my mind that someone can have so much talent to write stories, draw pixel art, music and code the whole thing. Super talented!

I purchased the PS5 cause the library of games on the PS4 was amazing. Worst purchase I’ve made in a long time. There’s been a real lack of games. The best game is Astro’s Playground and that comes free!
I currently use TinyWall Firewall, it works very well, it’s small/portable, no complaints I even donated to the Dev but I would really prefer open source, also it needs to be user friendly like TinyWall so my non-tech family members can/will use it like they do with TinyWall.
Same old shit with everything. A company makes a move that users don’t like. The company just ignores all the flak they are getting online. The uproar calms down and then things continue.
We’re seeing this more and more. Windows with ads, Amazon adding ads to their prime video account holders. Spotify moving lyrics to their premium subscription. The past couple of years are shit and companies continue to do whatever the fuck they want.
Get a second drive and install Linux on it. You can then flick between the two on boot. I’ve done this and now booting into Arch more than Windows. I’ll still boot into Windows for reasons but Arch is my main OS now.
I ran Linux in VirtualBox for years but it’s just not the same as running from bare metal. The step to bare metal is the key to actually starting to make the move to Linux for me
It’s been quite a mild winter in the UK. Normally we have a lot of frosty and freezing temperatures but we only had about 3 days where I am. Other than that it’s been above 5°C and raining. The ground is saturated to fuck. Makes walking the dog a very messy job!
That said we had a pretty poor summer last year. It never really got that warm. I’m hoping the shit winter means in return we are given a nice summer. I have my doubts though.
I almost skipped the PS4 generation but got a PS4 Pro. As a result I had a huge catalogue of PS4 games to play and all at a decent price as they had been out for a while.
I was so impressed with the PS4 I purchased the PS5. Honestly the best thing about the PS5 is Astros Playground. Outside of that I’m just playing a remastered or patched PS4 game. The PS5 has been bitterly disappointing.
That is an important fix. I’m surprised this wasn’t found before 6 even released.
It’s similar to an issue I have on Plasma 5 where if I am playing a game with a game pad, the screen would go off due to inactivity. It’s a known old bug. I wish they would fix it.

I got the PS4 Pro when it came out. There were so many PS4 games at that point that I hadn’t played. All so cheap too. I got the PS5 as I figured there would be so many great games coming to the console. Honestly, the only game that’s PS5 exclusive is the Astro’s Playground.
You can work around the need to go around updating all sites with your new email address… at least the next time you need to change your email address.
I use SimpleLogin to create a unique alias (on my own domain) for each website. When I finally migrated to Proton all I had to do was add the proton email address to SimpleLogin and delete my old GMail address to get it to point to Proton (I started migrating to aliases before moving away from GMail). Likewise if I ever move in the future I only need to update SimpleLogin. I was looking to move to Skiff when my Proton renewal was due!
To set this up I had to obviously update every single website which was very time consuming. However I have much better protection now as email addresses are disposable should a site start spamming me. The only site that actually knows my Proton email address is Bitwarden, Proton itself and SimpleLogin.
Looking in my account I have over 300 aliases. Crazy.
I used to use Ghostery but removed it and now just use these two filters in uBlock. They’re not perfect but certainly better than not using them at all.
Where I live in the UK, food is placed in a compostable bag which are taken away weekly. They turn it into energy. Way better than blending it and putting down the drain.

That’s a weird take. Games like Minecraft showed the world that games don’t need to visually look good to be good. This opened up the world for indie developers to make really good games utilising pixel art. I’m a big fan of Stardew Valley. In fact I’ll call it now that the developer for that game has worked harder than any other developer in any game from the past or present.
I got the PS4 Pro having not bothered upgrading from a PS3. At this point there was so many good games to play. I was so impressed I got the PS5 a year after launch. I’m really disappointed as the games have lackluster compared to my time on the PS4.
Honestly the only console that I see is worth having is the Switch. Other than that I play on the PC and now Steam Deck.
