boredsquirrel,

Good tips! I do the same, also for rsync.

Ask it to explain everything, you dont need to pay to have a permanent prompt saved (here “if I ask for a command, when writing to a file always do that in one command, dont describe beforehand but explain every argument”)

I think GPT 3.5 is okay, but makes some errors and has hallucinations. Sometimes the script is also wrong or has flaws.

Its basically a syntax translator, which is great!

boredsquirrel,

Wtf dude did you read the post?

boredsquirrel,

There is no KDEnlive community yet but

Is there a way to sync todo.txt with Tasks, similar to how GNOME calendar syncs with Google?

I use Google tasks for my todo list. This GNOME extension is nice and minimal and just what I’m looking for, and it uses todo.txt. Is there an easy way to sync my changes with Google, similar to how the GNOME calendar app does?...

boredsquirrel,

Why would you use Linux when you literally sync your todos in plain text to big brother?

If that extension allows saving to a directory and Google somehow supports todo txt and also sync from folder then yes.

Most likely it doesnt.

boredsquirrel,

I answered your question though, read further

boredsquirrel,

Using Android doesnt mean sharing data with Google

boredsquirrel,

This is one of the dozens of things where I honestly think, Fedora+KDE would be a better workstation.

In KDE, showing app entry details would show the exact command ran.

If you want to find what app that is, search for the launcher in

~/.local/share/applications
~/.local/share/flatpak/exports/share/applications #I think

Or do flatpak list --installed or rpm-ostree status

boredsquirrel,

That is even outdated on normal fedora

Help with HDD

I have a 4TB HDD that I use to store music, films, images, and text files. I have a 250GB SDD that I use to install my OS and video games. So far I didn’t have any problem with this setup, obviously it’s a bit slower when it reads the HDD but nothing too serious, but lately it’s gotten way worse, where it just lags too...

boredsquirrel, (edited )

Get a new one, maybe a 4TB SATA SSD (if you have the space, SATA is just better than NVME imho, way cheaper and less heat) and DO A BACKUP.

“Spinning things” will break way easier than nonmoving parts.

These might very well be signs of failure.

boredsquirrel,

They have subsets, for verified, floss and both.

See this repo of mine

boredsquirrel,

GNOME Software is way more aligned with them than KDE Discover. The permissions are completely illegible at least on Plasma 5. The themed colors will likely not appear
