Phew, writing -PF applications is tiring! Nice to have a veranda with growing plants, and an oyster stout to drink. And nice to forget about the rest of the world for a short while.

To those of you using apps for keeping track of and rating or reviewing beers: any experience with BeerHive? The UI looks nicer and more useful than Untappd, but the user base (and beer database) is still tiny...

The left two columns are menus, the rest of the canvas are choices for the malty category, similarly sized grids exist for hoppy, fruity, spicy. No yeasty....

Sorry for the late update (ping @stoutwardporterman ), of course I got the jubilee stout on Saturday! Had nice company, so I preferred them to my phone.
Easily drinkable, too little cocoa for my taste, but a nice addition to a classic style porter.

Farewell to Prague, for now.
Managed to create data visualisations for our climate change project, finish the intro chapter of my thesis and send in a postdoc application (with colleagues). And hold a lecture at the Czech Academy of Sciences. Phew!
Now direct train ( ) to Berlin, then train to Sweden.

Needed a break from my thesis. Bus trip to Únětický pivovar slightly outside Prague. Extremely professional restaurant, lots of staff, but the beer is not the best I've had. The filtrated one is bitter but boring, in my mouth. Should try the unfiltered, I guess. No dark ones, unfortunately.

Friday try again after 1.5 years: Vanilla! by Stigbergets. It's funny how the vanilla gives me a milky association, but there's no lactose here.
