B0NK3RS, to games in Steam Summer Sale - Top Deals

I didn’t realise it was a failed Kickstarter. I bought it in early access so I guess they decided to risk it that way and it worked out in the end.

It’s a classic and the originals still hold up today.

Rollcage Redux (1)

Rollcage Extreme (2)

B0NK3RS, to retrogaming in Rage (Xbox360)
@B0NK3RS@lemmy.world avatar

No not really but it’s all subjective anyway.

I remember RAGE we good the first time I played but I really struggled with it last year when I tried it again. Also John Goodman voiced a character at the beginning and then buggers off never to be seen again…

B0NK3RS, to retrogaming in Poor Sega just didn't get the timing right.
@B0NK3RS@lemmy.world avatar

There are so many reasons why it failed but we all love it so.

This War of Mine: Complete Edition £26.93 £3.91 (85% off)

In my opinion one of the greatest games but also one of the saddest. If you already own the game then I highly recommend all the DLC as they all bring some interesting scenarios to the game.

GRIP: Combat Racing £24.99 £2.49 (90% off)

Spiritual successor to Rollcage with a great soundtrack.

B0NK3RS, to retrogaming in I miss console ads being this weird
@B0NK3RS@lemmy.world avatar

There were some bizarre ads from around the late 90s to early 00s.

The Dreamcast Barber comes to mind.

B0NK3RS, to patientgamers in [Meta] Did we drop the "what are you playing" monthly thread? Also, mods haven't been active for a while, should someone take over?

Psychonauts 2 is amazing. I had a really good time playing it and my kids were completely engrossed in it by my side.

@B0NK3RS@lemmy.world avatar

To me it feels like a big drop in activity on Lemmy over the past 6 months? So the weekly and monthly post are being forgotten and some are letting standards slip.

The HDD in my Xbox One S was starting to die so I decided to swap it for an SSD. Surprisingly easy to do with just a torx screwdriver and a spudger. So now I’m starting Red Dead Redemption again as I got so close to completion but didn’t quite finish the story.

B0NK3RS, to games in The N64
@B0NK3RS@lemmy.world avatar

N64 is one of my favourites but also the hardest to go back to after all these years.

B0NK3RS, to games in What are some excellent free games/total conversions that are worth playing the whole thing?
@B0NK3RS@lemmy.world avatar

Never heard of BAR before so thanks for this. Looks amazing and can’t wait to try.

B0NK3RS, to games in Who is subscribing to Game Pass, PS Plus and Nintendo Switch Online, and why?
@B0NK3RS@lemmy.world avatar

I have barely any subscriptions for anything anymore and once Gamepass expires (I did the £1 upgrade offer) I will not renew.

I just chop and change to whatever I want for the month but overall I don’t really use many paid services anymore.

B0NK3RS, to games in What are some eras of gaming that you've stopped feeling nostalgic for?
@B0NK3RS@lemmy.world avatar

Even though I grew up with 8/16bit I’ve never really had any nostalgia for it apart from a select few games.

B0NK3RS, to patientgamers in Patient gamers, what are your favourite city builders?
@B0NK3RS@lemmy.world avatar
  • Ostriv
  • Banished
  • Surving the Aftermath
  • Frostpunk
  • Planetbase

Smaller scale than Cities Skylines and also have other gameplay mechanics but that’s how I like it.

B0NK3RS, to patientgamers in Patient gamers, what are your favourite city builders?
@B0NK3RS@lemmy.world avatar

I’m the same way with games that just get overwhelming and I loose interest.

Ostriv is another game like Banished where it is smaller scale so you might like that too.
