Does the order of the cards matter? I’ve never played.

No, you have to shuffle before play, and usually several times during the match.
eyes, Yes, but only in the fact that it looks like 4-5 different decks have got mixed together.
Rai, Mmmmm fullboarder swamps…

me_irl, pretty much once a week when my cat decides to go somewhere new on my cupboard or my desk
lugal, Remindes me of the German card game “32 heb auf”
LinkOpensChest_wav, ![]()
We have a game like that in English, except it’s “52 pick-up”
lugal, I’m bad at this. Isn’t there a card deck with 32 cards as well? Maybe I’m wrong
LinkOpensChest_wav, ![]()
There might be one with 32. A standard deck of playing cards has 52.
In Magic, it can vary wildly.
onion, A Skat deck has 32 cards, and is common in Germany

Oh TIL! Thanks for the link
poppy, Is the 52 card deck also common in Germany? In the US we use the 52 card deck for tons of different games.
doofer_name, Yes they are both common. I‘d say the 32 deck is more common in older/traditionally german card games while 52 card decks are probably more commonly used for games that originated in other countries.
And in my family we play a game that uses 2 52 card decks.
onion, Btw by sorting out the numbers below 7 you can turn a 52 into a 32 card deck
