Even the most popular games only ever really have a few hundreds of thousands of players on at any given time. I’ve never once seen a game that has managed to keep the concurrent player count at or over a million for more than a single day.
“I think we all know this is a $30-$40 game at best, but it’s not in our control to determine those things”, said one employee who worked on the project.
