How Donald Trump's criminal conviction boosted his campaign fundraising machine

"Since he left the White House in 2020, Trump has taken advantage of a little-known loophole in campaign finance law to pay for his mounting legal costs, which Federal Election Commission filings show amount to around $90,000 per day over the past three years.”

“Campaign disclosures show Trump has used a web of political action committees, or PACs, to funnel donor money to a leadership PAC he founded called Save America, which is primarily paying his legal bills. These groups are separate from his official campaign and not subject to the same restrictions by the FEC.”

I once asked my brain-rotted, antivax, “Trump is the second coming”, “I’m honest hand guy”* uncle how big a simp you have to be, to pay a billionaire’s legal fees. When he was out visiting my parents.

He stopped talking talking to me- Actively avoided me, and never brought up politics again.

(* he acts like he’s some important dude, that he talks with Trump and leads his campaign from his home state. He knocked on some doors and got shot at. Trump doesn’t know he exists and doesn’t care either.)

someguy3,

I was not expecting legally siphoning money from campaign funds to pay personal legal costs.

TheBigBrother,

Bad publicity is still publicity, as long as they keep talking about him, the more people will vote for him.

Definitely I’m not republican but anyway his followers will keep seeing him as a martyr.

Rapidcreek,

$90k a day for three years…pushing past $100M! Way to go MAGA
