I swear, 90% of the people in 196 think they’re the only person here who isn’t autistic, genderqueer, or both. It’s a gay bar where half the people in it are straight. Autistic people love written rules, so what if we put one rule in the sidebar that we don’t actually expect a single person to follow and then just assumed everybody knew the rest?

A person who likes bobs and vagene entering a committed relationship with a trans man would be toxic. Ditto for a person who likes fat people entering a committed relationship with someone who is trying to lose weight. That said, firstly, I don’t see anything wrong with a one-night stand in either of those scenarios, which is what the original question was, and secondly, more importantly, you’d have to stretch really hard to say that a person who’s into a little chub and a person who’s perfectly happy having a little chub entering a committed relationship is in any way problematic. OP is into women. If anyone unironically tries to call someone a pussy-chaser I’m going to recommend them for commitment.

OP saying he’d have sex with a trans man who hadn’t transitioned yet is no different than a lover of booty saying they’d have sex with someone who hadn’t lost weight yet. Sure, it might be a little confusing and/or disheartening for his potential sexual partner to be told that he likes them for the one aspect of themselves that they’re working to change, but if it’s only for one night, and that person otherwise has a good support network, and, most importantly, it’s two consenting adults, I don’t see the harm.

Visual Studio (not Code) does not run on Linux, a fact about which I am a little bit angry since Malware-Dev has not published his devkit for Space Engineers ingame scripts for anything else. I’ve heard that Photoshop works in Wine now although I’ve not had a chance to try it myself. Linux works for 99% of people nowadays, but I think it’s safe to say just from this thread that you are not 99% of people.

I’d still suggest giving it a shot, though, if for no other reason than to see if you can. All else fails, as you say, you could run a VM. The tooling for that is pretty solid nowadays since for a while it was the only way to game on Linux, doubly so now that Nvidia drivers let you demonstrate the power of flex tape by sawing your GPU in half and give half to the virtual machine (it creates two virtual PCIe devices which appear to the Linux host to be entirely separate GPUs, each with a fixed portion of the available VRAM – previously the only way to get 3D acceleration in a VM was to buy two graphics cards and give one to Windows). I’ve not had to do it in a while so it may have gotten better, but last I tried, it was a M A S S I V E pain in the backside to set up but after that it was smooth sailing.

EDIT: yeah, their about page says they “filter out generative AI images” without even mentioning how. never mind that with the rate the AI field is advancing, no algorithm for doing that works for more than a couple of months. no word at all on how or even if the photos users upload are going to be protected from scraping.

i hate to be a cynic, i do, and i can’t wait for this to age poorly but $20 says the website won’t even last a year
