How would that work for anything produced by a company? If you’re a continuing run of stories, and a random artist dies, copyright on parts of your product suddenly evaporate? Getting a job as an artist would be like making an insurance claim: with a risk assessment. Good luck getting work as you get older or sick.

Maybe I’m ignorant, but by definition that seems non binary to me. Unless “non binary” no longer means non binary, and now it has some new trendy definition.

Isn’t the idea of binary having two socially defined entities: man, woman. Having someone who defies either definition is non binary. Opposing the idea that you can only be one or the other.

Conchita dresses half way between man and woman. Dresses, skirts, long hair, make up, beard. Even the name Conchita Wurst is a wordplay for “vagina penis”.

The example of a male presenting as female or somewhere between those two seems within the exact definition of non binary.

I’m afraid I don’t understand what violating the binary means, and it still seems to me that presenting female with a beard does not fit what I thought the binary of gender was supposed to mean.

I’m not trying to imply anything. I’ve just never had a feeling about my gender so I don’t really understand the concept. I was born a man, I present as a man, but I can’t say that I feel like a man, I just feel like me.

They don’t need to release it as open source. They could just do what games used to do, have a server executable so people can host their own sessions.

People in this thread seem to be missing this point.

This is windows server, not windows 11. The consequences is not “I’ll have an annoying taskbar icon on my home computer”, this is enterprise level interference that could affect large systems and thousands of users.

Linux Mint isn’t an alternative to windows server.

It was poor form for a media group to air an interview of someone in a current and high profile court case. The affect of the media attention prevented a fair trial and was completely unprofessional from Wilkinson.

That’s a shame. I was keen on cp77 ever since it’s teaser trailer, but the troubles at launch made me wait. I still haven’t played it because it still doesn’t seem like a stable project.

I think what I really want is another good Deus Ex.

Most of the bad guys in Resident Evil 5 were black because of the relevancy to the setting, and people were similarly kicking up.

Is getting up in arms about one of those any different to the other?

(And just to be clear, I’m not taking about the tribal depictions, I’m referring to the reaction to the early trailers)

I appreciate the frank opinions here. This game got overhyped by ffxiv fans. You couldn’t get an honest impression on this game, it was just “ffxiv is the best game ever, and ffxvi is being made by the same team therefore this will be the best game ever”

The Tomb Raider remake series.

At their best, the originals were about a hyper-competent adventurer who always had a plan and was unapologetically confident. She was like Xena and Indiana Jones combined.

It was already a pretty tired cliche at the time to make a gritty origin story when the first game came out. We got an uncertain, untrained, and unprepared Lara with a whimpering attitude.

By the third game they tried to act on the feedback about this, but instead of something closer to the original, she became Rambo, covering herself in mud, hiding in the shadows, stealth killing hordes of enemy soldiers.

I think the Uncharted series did what Tomb Raider remake series should have done.

This thing has been delayed on and off for the last few years.

Whatever is going on with this game, it’s not a good sign. There was a fan made game called Stargate Network that flew under the radar for a long long time. Once this game, Timekeepers, started MGM shut them down. Stargate Network was praised by fans, and even by actors from the show, as an accurate recreation of what we saw on the TV show.

So far feedback of the demo has been poor. Stargate seems to be cursed in the video game space.

The Cyberpunk 2077 hype got me excited because I love the Deus Ex games. I was ready to mainline that technological dystopian future.

After hearing about the terrible reception, I decided it was just time to play Human Revolution again.

It was such a mess that Sony removed it from the PlayStation store and gave out refunds.
