Some publisher dickheads are totally unaware their business minmaxxing is absolutely the reason this product wasn’t developed properly but I am sure the devs at rocksteady will get all the flak as per usual and the people actually responsible for this sabotage will probably move laterally to another position where they can ruin more shit people like for a six figure income.
We always hear about shit companies like embracer, but who are the actual people in charge? Who are the people who are very bad at their jobs and should be publically ostracized for damaging not only their ips but the lives of hundreds to thousands of working developers? Like what are their names? Who are these faceless scumbags?
Embracer is just a name to hide behind, the people involved in the decisionmaking here should be known by name, like Bobby “incredible piece of human filth” Kotick
Okay let me start with two heavy hitters right from the get go and don’t forget these are only personal oppinions and I absolute understand if you like those games. Good for you!...
The Finals is a product that understands its demographic, EA has absolutely no clue what their demo is for BF and that’s why we got a BR movement shooter with 2042.
These corpo dummies just look at what’s popular and tell their devs to copy it to maximize profit. They do not give a fuck about making a good product, they care about minmaxing spending.
First and foremost, This is kind of a rant. I do not like horror games. I have never played any ‘strictly horror’ ones before. And yes I get scared easily....
You don’t have to like games just because they are popular. It’s clearly not for you and that’s really all there is to it, and that is ok. Go try something else that actually piques your interest.
I’m starting to find that HUDs in games clutter the screen and take away from being fully immersed in the game. I like games that force you to pay attention to what’s going on in the game and not numbers/markers on the edges of the display. What are some of your favorite games to play with no HUD? Here are a few of mine:...
I got it at release as well and I could not disagree more. It was buggy, broken, and incomplete. I watched police NPCs spawn in from the sky, my game softlocked when a story essential npc fell through the world. These were commonly observed issues, among a litany of other ones. You gotta have some serious rose tinted glasses to think it was an acceptable product on release.
Imo Gameplay and story were like a 2.5/5, went back for PL and it might be a 3. Gameplay is serviceable at best. Story was lifted from an GITS:SAC episode which is about the most praise I have for the game aside from the art department. The 3D assets in 2077 are inarguably beautiful.
Rare insists they can’t due to the pvp balance and I feel like most people who want to play it don’t have any interest in fighting sweatlords as much as they want to pretend to be pirates with their friends
It is absolutely incredible how video games publishers will do anything to not publish new video games. Just doing any hair brained boondoggle that comes to their oxygen deprived brains.
I remember trying out ark again last year, and just to play the game in a way that was less janky we needed a private dedicated with no less than 7 mods. And even then it was a buggy, unpleasant mess.
Sucks because I feel like dinosaur island monster rancher fps rpg is a great idea. There will never be enough dinosaurs in my life
Lmao Valve made a service so good at what it does, it’s fucking over all these other business ghouls like Tim Sweemey who are actively trying to dominate the market without actually competing; just look at Epic’s store, it’s d o g s h i t. They give out free games and still no one I know wants to use it. It’s the same across the board, these companies do not want to make good services, they want to legally strongarm the consumer.
All I want is bayo 2 on pc. I got the first one and went to get the second after enjoying the shit out of it but it’s owned by nintendo now so I should go fuck myself I guess
In this industry, and specifically for pokemon, a huge portion of total purchases are done by parents for their children. Children don’t understand or care, and parents aren’t motivated to deny their children pokemon games based on their quality.
Pokemon, as a product, has very little incentive to improve. This is also an observable effect in the music industry.
For me it depends, if the game is a big bombastic hollywood esque block buster then cool, but I don’t see how Keanu benefitted 2077’s story in any way, no matter how much I love him
