What "unique" or single-game-genre games have you enjoyed?
I can think of a handful of games that, despite being games that I’ve enjoyed, never really became part of a “genre”. Do you have any like this, and if so, which?...

Looking for a good, not too difficult, single player FPS that gets right into the action without too many story requirements, and is a lot of fun, and is not Borderlands (because I have played them all). EDIT: Forgot to mention I am looking for PS4, XBOX One X, or XBOX Series X. Thanks!

The thought came to mind after reading a recent post about Baldurs Gate 3 here but it reminded me of the Japense only PSX game Mizzurna Falls where if you don’t perform a certain action early in the game you are prevented from getting a true ending. While this might not be a traditional soft lock because you can still progress...
When I was kid, I could sit in front of TV for hours and sink a day or two away into a game and have no problem having to start the game over from the beginning. Time meant nothing to me and I wasted it like it was a near infinite resource....
I’ve been playing this game off and on, starting over since it came out. I was a hardcore Bloodborne player, but also played a lot of elden ring and ds3. Sekiro never clicked, I thought it was slick and the action felt incredible but I just couldn’t get past the beginning. Finally I’ve broken through and am having a blast,...
If you could only re-experience from new one game (like total immersion, wide-eyed wonder-at-the-majesty-of-it-all re-experience) and had yet to pick a console (Xbox versus PlayStation), what game on which console and why? (and feel free to remark on ideal controllers, add-ons, etc.)...
I’m looking for a single player game, first person or third person, but something more action or role-play oriented. Not particularly a fan of turn based combat...
Personally I’ve played a hell of a lot of HexArena. Just a simple, low intensity game that runs well and is maintained :))...
I have been playing a lot of Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral and memorizing what each character likes can be a bit daunting at times so I use it a lot. It also helps when you are trying to figure out certain character’s schedule and where specific items are found....
Palworld has brought back a Pandora’s Box that Pokemon let open in Black/White: Does Team Plasma have a point? Is the player in Pokemon/Palworld an evil entity just for playing?...
So, I almost never play evil characters in most CRPGs - despite the potential fun to be had - and recently I’ve been thinking about why....
I was watching the IGN overview on “No Rest For The Wicked” and they say that they abandoned the point-and-click system in favor of WASD because it was not precise enough....
What are some of your favorite content creators that highlight small indie games? Can be big or small, I’m just looking to find some lesser known games for a change....
Gotta be Civ 7 for me, but I’d love to see some other highlights shouted out by people who are excited for them!

I always find this topic to be really interesting since there’s no objectively correct answer, and it tends to be something people have experience with....
Can’t believe it took me so long to get around to playing this but I’m so glad I did. Dishonored is still my favorite of theirs but now I’ve played all their games and they are easily my favorite studio because of their rich storytelling and immersive world design....
The first thread was fun, let’s try again! And let’s try to keep it positive, that’s always a lot more fun to read....
I have acquired some game keys from Humble for games that I already own. If you haven’t heard about Humble Bundle, you should check them out here! www.humblebundle.com/bundles/...
