Young means voting age or near voting age. Plenty of them care a lot. Their future is being decided. Will they have access to reproductive healthcare, will the planet be wrecked, will there be another election cycle.
Then they’re idiots. This is about their future so much more than ever before. This is their chance to make a difference: their votes, their preferences are more important than ever before
My 17 year old saw it before I did, but it was for a Law and Government class
They'll start to care, even a little, once they grow up more and realize that:
"OMG I'M STILL RENTING APARTMENTS OR LIVING WITH MY FAMILY AND I'M 30 YEARS OLD, WHAT DO?!"
"OMG I'M STILL MAKING SHIT WAGES AND I'M BARELY MAKING BY, WHAT DO?!"
"OMG I CAN'T DO ANYTHING I WAS LIED TO THAT WHEN I GROW UP I'D DO, WHAT DO?!"
And they'll all take to social media to pump themselves with copium through memes and bitch to the high heavens pretending anyone gives a shit about what they're saying. Not like that isn't happening now.
Wish we could easily track those numbers. I guess someone could probably ballpark it based on a study of major sites that were streaming it at the time.
They didn’t even include YouTube as one of the sources they counted, and time shifting was only within a day. I can’t be the only one who watched it on YouTube several days later
