Not my first mech keyboard, but definately my first custom keyboard and my first ortholinear. Picked it up during the DefCon conference this weekend.

TheRealMalc,

Looks awesome. Who was selling them? Are they available online or was it conference only

Thyme,

@TheRealMalc this is the Lulu from Boardsource, you can get it on their site although you will have to source your own switches

Hey guys/gals, I want your opinion on this:
I was thinking of buying a fractal design north case, and a fractal lumen s28 rgb aio.
According to the manual, the case has clearance for a 355mm gpu. Mine is the msi suprim x 3080ti (336mm). As stated by the graphic in the manual, the gpu clearance is measured with the front fans installed, and I was thinking of installing the radiator in the front. The aio manual says that the radiator is 27mm thick. This means I need another 8mm for this to fit.
I measured my gpu with a ruler and I found out the gpu is actually a bit under 330mm, maybe even 328mm.
This is where I ask for your opinion. Do you guys/gals think this will fit?

When I open a file Jellyfin always shows "fetching additional data".

Is there a way to do that before opening a file, ideally for all files?

@entropicdrift the server has been there for ages, but I added new content, which has been scanned weeks ago. It only happens when I play it, so that is why I'm curious.

In particular I was wondering if that will happen if running a server without internet: Will it fail fetching whatever data is fetching in that case? If it the subtitles for example? If so, I'd like to download the additional data while I still have Internet access, but without having to click every single file.

Jellyfin doesn’t fetch data from the web outside of its scans, generally speaking. Probably this is a case of your cache being slow or your video needing to be transcoded. I’ve used my server when my internet was out several times and never had an issue.

I've waiting for a similar experience since the jornada 720. y'all just don't know how good you have it (not to say there aren't glaring improvements that could be made)

NutWrench,

You’re probably going to be installing and changing a lot of stuff over the next few weeks. Make sure you use TimeShift to make system snapshots. (It works like System Restore in Windows).

You can even restore a system that won’t boot anymore, by booting from a Live usb stick, running TimeShift and choosing a snapshot off your hard drive.

njordomir,

Bonus points, once you feel comfortable with the software manager learn how to update Mint with the “apt” commands in the terminal. This will make you feel like an elite hacker while simultaneously teaching you a fast way to do a routine task, updating all your software. Make sure to reflect on how long this would have taken on Windows. :D

SCOTUS' ruling on presidential immunity from criminal prosecution is America's Enabling Act.

BertramDitore,
@BertramDitore@lemmy.world avatar

Yup, this immunity decision and their ruling overturning Chevron deference will fundamentally change how our government functions. If expert agencies are no longer able to rely on their expertise and presidents are officially above the law, then our democracy is over. Whoever holds the office of the presidency is now a de facto king (in the words of Justice Sotomayor). The comparison to the Enabling Act is super useful for people who care at all about history or democracy.

Nougat, to politics

In light of the SCOTUS opinion that "official acts" by a president are immune from criminal prosecution, and the Trump defense stating that "they could see" an assassination order by a president against a political opponent that has been "identified" as corrupt ...

Biden should have Trump assassinated.

Deceptichum,
@Deceptichum@sh.itjust.works avatar

The best move Biden could make would be to use these powers ASAP. On the judges themselves even.
