It’s copying. I wish they were smarter about their argument but their greed bled into their propaganda. It’s like the propaganda was only for them. This is punctuated by the fact they get very moral when it comes to their money.
My experience is that there are a lot of gay people without the queerness, and what i mean by that is they are traditional, and blend in. That said, you might know more gay folk than you think. I don’t know any effective way of identifying them, but if you’re running into a lack of online community, i suggest considering finding offline communities.
It’s about the program, the agenda, which comes from queer theory, which is about destroying normality. If that’s your agenda, then sharing your identity is imperative to your agenda. Otherwise, i don’t see a reason. In short, it’s purely philosophical.
