Hotspot Wi-Fi connected to my laptop works without connected to mobile data. What could be the reason? (lemm.ee)

Title is self explanatory. For background, I am currently running Asahi Linux on my M1 MBP. Whenever I connected the hotspot without data being turned on, it somehow still worked like any regular wifi. I even ran several updates in the system and downloaded multiple apps in this wifi, which I find it amusing. But out of...

Is the wifi enabled and connected on the phone? I had a situation once where the hotspot network was relaying data to the connected wifi network on the phone instead of mobile data like you’d expect.

Can confirm the balancing is whack. Permanent upgrades are also basically useless (very miniscule difference for a high price)

There’s no point where you’re overpowered which is the most fun part in these types of games

In my experience turning off dof and global illumination takes you from 20 fps to 80 (1440p, rtx 3090)
