TonyOstrich, to politics in Pete Buttigieg fact-checks a GOP congressman to his face at House hearing

I would not like either of those options. I’d take Jeff Jackson (NC) or Buttigieg any day.

Giving it a look now, much appreciated.

That’s my worst case, but I’d rather not as there are times when I’d like to change the macros during work and I won’t be bringing a personal computer with me to work to do so.

My employer does have a process for requesting software, but it’s a very large company and requires that it go through a whole vetting process and security audits before having it added to the approved software list. I’m already applying some pressure to have some more important software added and am trying not to burn up all the good will I may have 😅.

I am actually able to connect to the VIA web app, but I don’t have any compatible devices currently. It’s very possible though that we may have some software or policy that will block it when I attempt to do so though (it’s not unusual to be able to connect to a website and do certain things only to have specific actions trigger some piece of our security suite). Knowing what the average user is like I can’t really fault them for it, but it is annoying.

All that said, would you have a recommendation for the cheapest VIA pad on Aliexpress that I could buy to test with?

They had the majority in name only two of the Dems were almost more liberal Republicans and any attempt to force some of the more liberal legislation through was torpedoed by those two consistently.

Yeah… My Cyberpunk saves apparently total just over a 1GB 😅

Billions? As in Billions of dollars? Really?

Chiming in to echo others with my experience in my current job I had three interviews (that I remember, but I think it might have actually been four). The interviews that I remember in order were HR, engineering management, the rest of the engineering team. The HR interview was by phone and mostly to validate that we were on the same page as far as things like pay, qualifications, job description, etc. The second interview was with engineering management and done via Teams with video. The third was in person and in addition to another brief talk with engineering management they also showed me where I would be working and had me talk to various people on my current team to see how they liked me.

It has pros and cons. The biggest con I think is having HR and ATS at the front of the process as there are likely really good candidates that are filtered out as a result of not being able to balance their resume in such a way that both HR and Engineering sees their value.

Small correction it’s technically an LSposed/Exposed module, but everything I said previously still applies.

If you have a rooted phone and Magisk there is a module that essentially turns the stock YouTube app into the Premium version without adds and background play enabled.

Someone else in this comment thread pointed out that Tesla’s windows are laminated and not tempered so a glass break doesn’t actually work on them.

I just did a quick “fact check” as I was writing this and apparently there are multiple cars that are going to laminated glass windows. I’ll have to add that to the list of things I don’t want and have to check next time I’m shopping for a car.

Yes, but in your example your location is not posted to publicly available records. If she doesn’t like that an air planes flight records are publicly available for anyone to look up, she should contact her representative, or otherwise campaign to have the law changed, not harass someone who is basically just copying and pasting information from one public database no one is on to a public space everyone is on.

Beyond that I would also add my opinion that for the average person hiring extra security or taking extra precautions is an undo burden. For someone who is worth more than I will make in 250 lifetimes I don’t think it’s unreasonable to say that is one of the costs of the path that she has chosen to travel.

TonyOstrich, to lemmyshitpost in As requested

I could be wrong, but the reason I’m annoyed with her specifically isn’t because of the use of private planes (I am annoyed by it, but that isn’t specific to her). I’m annoyed with her legally harassing the person that made a bot that used publicly available data to track her plane(s).

That’s why I am specifically amused by these posts, not sure if it’s the same for everyone.

Right as LoadingReadyRun is getting ready for Desert Bus, so no Checkpoint for two weeks. I wonder if they will cover it when they get back 🤔
