I think Mexico too, or at least the paper name is ā€œcartaā€ and ā€œoficioā€ which would translate to letter and legal (kinda)

It is very strong right now. Hopefully it didnā€™t arrive early and it picks up even more in 10-12 hours https://lemmy.ca/pictrs/image/eb0920e5-ba60-4a43-8dfd-2167d48b5a77.jpeg

0-100F is not base 10 at all, itā€™s just what you grew up with. I grew with Celsius and I can easily feel the difference in a few degrees. TV weather people saying that the temp will be in the 80s is less useful to me than if they tell me if it will be 27Ā°C for example

Why would you do Ā±1Ā°C if the sous vide can do decimals?

Also, the recipe calls for 130Ā°F because it was made by an American, if you look for European recipes it will probably say 54Ā°C. Neither will add decimals to their recipes because thatā€™s just being anal

I use F in the kitchen a lot because most of my appliances work in that and also because I basically learn to cook until I moved to the US, so again, what you are used to

Lol itā€™s not, itā€™s just what you are used to

Our first laser was also an HP and it worked great for many years until windows 7 stopped supporting it, I tried a lot of drivers but I couldnā€™t find any that made it print correctly. I eventually found that it still worked with Linux so I connected it to an old computer and ran a server thru it and it worked for many more years until some part broke and the replacement part was more expensive thana be one, or so we though because we had to change printers another 3 times since because they break a lot quicker now
