I only played the beta a couple months ago and I found it unbelievably boring and uninspired. I’ve never been so uninvested in a game’s world and this is a motherfucking pirate game. How is it this dull?!
Thank you for sharing! I didn’t think this was possible on 3DS hardware.
I’m still having issues getting it to work, though. I shut off NVIDIA GameStream in favor of Sunshine and made sure all the required ports are open on my PC. But when trying to pair to PC, the first time I get a PIN it immediately fails, saying something about the URL being illegal. If I try again, get another PIN, and enter that into Sunshine, nothing happens. More annoying, at most stages of the process, Moonlight soft locks my 3DS and it can’t even quit the app from the Home button, forcing me to hold the power button until it turns off.
I replayed the first one on OpenGOAL last year and it’s amazing how good it still looks at higher resolutions. Jak II is fully playable now and I’m planning to start that as soon as someone releases an HD texture pack.
Don’t know if this is still the case, but last time I had a Capri Sun in Europe 2007-ish it was a completely different drink than what I was used to in the US. It was actually more like a fruit juice and had a vibrant color (I emptied it into a cup to see). Compared to our clear, sugar-watery Capri Suns, I thought it was way better. Curious if that’s still the way it is over there.
No fucking chance Sony’s going to let a rival set up shop on their own consoles. Not even a possibility. Look at how much Apple and Google fought with Epic over keeping them off their phones. And that’s just over a secondary app store on a device that can do a million different things that the parent companies can still find ways to monetize. You’re talking about a competitor selling a subscription to bypass PlayStation’s only source of sales. Sony will fight that with everything they’ve got and no cut of the subscription fees will ever be enough to change their minds.
Agreed on the general principle, but I’m kind of glad a company that everyone already thinks of as shit will hold the patent on this. It’s absolutely not an idea that I’d want to spread throughout the industry and at least now it’s limited to use in games I’ll never play.
