I wonder if the conservatives would vote differently with a Republican president? Shameful either way, blaming it on cutting entitlements.

NATO is just an alliance, not all of the countries involved agree on everything. I'm not sure how Turkiye feels about Azerbaijan vs Armenia but they got Finland and Sweden figured out.

Hasn't that been a disputed zone for even longer? I don't really know the history but it seems like a rough draw for Armenians. I read recently that their sphere of influence may be drifting away from Russia, but towards whom?

@rhythmisaprancer@kbin.social avatar

It's too soon for this. Climate change in action 🙁 Where I am at in the US, we had another year of great snow pack, but it is melting incredibly fast. Last year this time, we had snow in town (in places). This year, it was in the 70sF and the snow line is receding such that I am not sure it will contribute like it did last year. Late snow is bad snow. We had a lot of that.

coalitions form into the parties

I have never looked at it this way, but I appreciate your take and will take it with me. The US is perpetually under a poorly functioning coalition government. This requires a different mode of operation from the voter's viewpoint I think.

I'm not so sure about this, but what bread ice cream? I made baklava ice cream in December, it was rather popular. Not at all easy to make tho...

Since you are a man well into your forties, we’d like to bring to your attention the shocking silliness of your username

As someone in their earlier forties, I feel a little called out 😅 not sure I can prance for very long 😬 I don't preach the prance, tho.

I think this description, with essentially anything, is a great description of Hipsters. "You can look, but you can not touch" personified.

rhythmisaprancer, to cooking in When I fry my eggs in a small non-stick pan, they leave a plastic film around the egg. Why??
@rhythmisaprancer@kbin.social avatar

That is just the egg white. Like @Kolanaki said, change your temp and use some type of fat. If it happens on the lowest setting, you could have a burner issue. Or maybe you need to learn your new skillet. Perfectly acceptable 🙂

rhythmisaprancer, to cooking in {Discussion} Shitty Knives
@rhythmisaprancer@kbin.social avatar

I guess I can understand what you are saying. I have lived out of my vehicle off and on for about ten years, and having a full tine, good "chopping" knife that I can sharpen with what I might use on a shovel is really nice. I have had the same maine knife for 15 years. It is ok. I don't have to work on it much. It says "Chicago Cutlery" on it. It has been put up wet, been used in snow, and I have no money invested in it. It works great.

I also worked in a kitchen once, with really nice knives, it isn't that nice. But it was cheap. Full tine, and not that weird serrated but not serrated.
