Windows is sometimes able to detect it as a storage device, but I’m not able to transfer anything before it disconnects and ‘USB device not recognised’ pops up again. Any ideas what’s wrong?
Hey, sorry if this isn’t the right place to ask this (feel free to show me the way). I want to get myself a printer that can also scan. Main purpose is to not have endless sheets of paper laying around, but to scan Documents I recieve and then throwing them away so that I only have them digitally and can print stuff out only...
I’ve seen that searxng has been recommended here, and after trying it out I was so impressed that I spun up a docker container on my Unraid box. Opensearch works fine with public instances, but I can’t get it to work with my container. I’m using the official docker image. Is there something I should watch out for?...
As per title, submitted a post here that as far as I’m aware met all the rules, it had positive momentum before I went to bed, wake up and no post and no messages or notification that it was removed or why except that it’s just gone. Discuss.
I’m in the market for a new Linux laptop. My current machine is a 2018 i7 with 64GB of RAM, a 4K screen, 1TB of storage, 2x USB-C and 1x USB-A....

Just wanted to write this quick guide (besides getting practice with my new Lily58) to ease the troubleshooting of at least one other soul who may find themselves where I was with building my board....
Except my Raspberry pi...
Update: The guide on github has been updated and has addopted a different method. Notably, it: A) still accomplishing my goal of avoiding running the process inside as root. B) uses the linuxserver.io image rather than the syncthing/syncthing one (my method does not allow for the linuxserver.io image to run), the linuxserver one...
Hi there, I was wondering what size hole you need for a 5 way nav switch. For hand soldering that is. NOT for a pcb....
A friend ofminee and me are building a keyboard. And I think it might be my end game. Keychron Q6, stabilizer tape and lubed. WS heavy tactile switches. This is amazing!
I am still learning the hobby, but recently I found a keyboard I really like, however it has bluetooth (yikes). I’m not a fan of Bluetooth for keyboards that I will 100% use wired, and it doesn’t seem there is a way to disable the Bluetooth via Firmware or Hardware switch....
Hi, I can’t get enough D&D, so was wondering if someone could suggest a computer game that involves actual role-playing, like making a character with personality where interacting with the world based on that personality matters? I’ve tried some of the traditional D&D games (like DDO), and there is essentially no...

Have been debating a new keyboard for awhile and haven’t been able to settle on anything. I used to have Razer everything but I finally got tired of my Mamba double clicking so I got a Corsair Harpoon to try something new....
Another week, another recommendations thread....
I saw the glorious gaming wooden wrist rest but not a fan of the logo. Is there something better in the price range?...
So, I have a 100% Keychron Q6 that I’ve changed the switches and caps on, and it’s been treating me very well!...
Looking for good games for Android. By good, I mean a game with a story, no ads or in-app purchases. I’m okay with paying for it, but I’m looking for a good experience. The game should be story-based, as in it has an ending, not an infinite game. Any recommendations?
I finally got some display cases for my pokemon collection!...
i have a few apple extended keyboard ii that are in good working shape. i have considered purchasing an adapter to use them with usb, because i can remember absolutely loving to use these keyboards....
I like how long the battery lasts on the k400, the range, and it’s such a nice accessory for when I’m on the couch and navigating my PC from the television. Having trackpad right there is great too....
My family currently uses life360(iOS and android). But I hate their privacy policy. I’m looking for an alternative. The thing that’s difficult is I can’t find one that’s opt in to each other. Like my parents are split so they dont want to share with each other but the rest of us do. Prefer selfhosted but anything is...
I recently started using a tablet and pen (Wacom Intuos S if you’re curious) for work and I cannot keep track of the pen - it’s slim, black, and blends in with my desk. I know that this is the fountain pen community rather than an ergonomics community, but I bet you all have tips for a pen stand/holder. What do you use to...
