#Helldivers, are you missing the feeling of crushing steel beneath your feet? Try your hand at clearing bug holes! With a simple loadout you can increase your nest-clearing speed tenfold!
If you miss the thrill of being surrounded, give this a go!
@littlebluespark A gatlin sentry is a great addition to this toolkit! I'm a fan of the Gatlin Barrage and the Orbital Airburst myself! I am the sentry!
#Helldivers! A new Major Order has been received from Super Earth! We have just over 24 hours to Liberate the 3 Terminid planets, Estanu, Crimsica, and Hellmire! However, the forces on Hellmire are currently impeding on the rapid spread of Liberty to Estanu and Crimsica.
Consolidate your forces, Helldivers! Remember the beginning of Phase 4!
A coop PvE game for two dads and three sons?
A shooter, preferably. Any recommendations, #mastodon guys? The youngest lad is 10, so as little violence as possible. Thanks 😉
I did this previously by using MultiMC (now PrismLauncher). Make a mix of mods, send them the zip of the whole game instance and ask them to drag and drop it onto MultiMC. The biggest issue I encountered was one family member having a black ingame world until they changed a setting in the graphics mod, otherwise it didn’t seem to be too hard.
By comparison Minetest is much easier for playing mods with family. Everyone downloads the server’s mods when they join. But the interest is lower.
@sub_ Yep, I'm using #Exult. I find it easier than regular #DOSBox. I used the files installed by GOG for Exult Linux. And true, I like the QoL features they added!
If I am not mistaken, before there was the #Civilization franchise, there was “Empire”. It was a fun game. There is #EmpireDeluxe available on #Steam, but I miss the DOS version that I played a lot.
Modern games today are usually limited to certain themes. If it's flight, it's flight. If it's tank, it's tank. If it's strategy, that's it. Carrier Command have it all.
I know, we can still play this today, however, what I miss with this game is the 2 player mode.
You just play with your friend and blast each other to friendly matches and laughter.
Being able to play 2P mode, face-to-face, is something that we have taken for granted, and now we're all just virtual avatars in online games (even online multiplayer games).
So, how about you?
Q: What are the five (5) video games from the 20th Century that you want to be able to play again today? And why?
Precious few #screenshotsaturday left before release on #steam! This whole #indiegame dev journey has been tough. Would we do it again? Yes! But we'd consider more carefully the next project for sure. We probably went to #narrativegame heavy this time for a first #game. And even #pixelart is hard to keep up with when you need alot of it!
We're trying to capture a certain feel in every level, from #liminalspace, to late night games, to teeth to the drudgery of the mundane office... our #pixelart has a lot of heavy lifting to do!
So - I’m not sure if this I because you’re posting from a platform outside Lemmy or how any of this works - but the title for your post was just links to gaming communities, then the body of your post doesn’t even mention the name of your game.
Don’t think you’re going to get he kind of attention you want posting that kind of content.
An online space adventure by Spellbook available in #Linux, #Windows, #Android, #iOS, and #Mac (and #Steam); that is simple yet fun. Play with hundreds of players!
