Frankly this doesn’t look very impressive, you can basically get the same experience by playing standard System Shock 2 with an HD texture mod, they should’ve at least improved the 3D models. If this was a free update for owners on Steam and etc I wouldn’t complain, but as it stands it just feels lazy.

I thought people on the comment section here were exaggerating, then I watched the trailer… It really looks awful. On further research, this is the console port of the RCT game that Epic paid exclusivity for (LMAO) a while ago, holy shit, imagine paying millions for this.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned after years of using AMD stuff, is that they’re unbelievably incompetent, that or just straight up lazy. If Nvidia wasn’t so scummy and expensive I’d make the jump and never look back ever again.

If you’re into pro wrestling, there’s the Newlegacyinc boys, they do playthroughs and streams of wrestling (and wrestling adjacent) games. I’m not even really into wrestling and I still find them very entertaining, their streams of MDickie wrestling games are top tier.

If this had come out in 2014-2016 as a successor to Skyrim it’d be one of the best games,

LOL nah, it’d be shat on like FO4 was. Maybe not as heavily, because it didn’t opt for voicing the protagonist, but sure as hell wouldn’t be called “one of the best games”.

This doesn’t look bad, but I feel like bringing back Goldeneye style shooters is a bad idea. Like, I get it’s nostalgia and all but there’s a reason why that game is stuck and forgotten on N64, it just didn’t age well at all. It might’ve been good for it’s time and platform of choice, but I’d say that in retrospect it’s easily one of the weakest shooters from the 90s, especially in comparison to games like Quake, Unreal and Half-Life.

No. But it’s actually kind of hard to straight up die in Kenshi, most of the time you’re just knocked unconscious for a while, sometimes you enter a coma while you heal back up and that can be dangerous as wild animals or slavers might find you and if you’re bleeding out that could be a death sentence. The only real way to just straight up die is to get beat up so hard you get fatally wounded on either your torso or head, but that’s incredibly rare.

That’s a hard question, but the first two games that came to mind were Final Fantasy XV and Snowrunner.

FFXV is just… There’s no nice way of saying it, it’s garbage. A huge open world with nothing interesting in it, the story is pure nonsense and it’s all full of holes, the characters are generic jrpg fodder, the shallow combat literally plays itself and you don’t even get to drive the damn car yourself. I was never a fan of the series, but after that one I swore off it completely.

And Snowrunner is just utterly disappointing, for a game that describes itself as a “driving sim” the physics are horrendous, the trucks squid all over the place and they have no traction whatsoever, the entire game revolves around you driving from point A to B through the most sadist maps imaginable, if you get stuck or flip over you have to start everything from start and it’s such a slow game, I can’t stress this enough it’s glacial slow. It’s just incredibly frustrating and stressful, coming from Euro Truck Simulator 2 (a game that I consider zen like) this was just torturous.

Great, so no more Saints Row 2 fix for PC I’m guessing, just great.

There was this guy working on the patch and he was basically the only person in Volition that cared about it, guy got cancer and instead of spending his last days with his family he worked on it until he died. His dying wish was to get this patch out. Soon after they diverted all their resources to that garbage game, it failed and now we’re here.

Both insulting to his memory and for everyone waiting for this patch for damn years. Fuck Volition and fuck Embracer.

Seems like you want something like a walking simulator, maybe a point and click game?

There’s Journey, I’ve never personally played it but from what I gather it’s mostly walking, jumping and exploring.

Have you also tried Minecraft? You can play on peaceful, so no combat at all, you’d be mostly exploring.

Maybe Subnautica? There’s a creative mode, you don’t need to worry about survival and dying, you can build indefinitely.

Since you mentioned New Vegas, there’s Menace of The New West and Titans of The New West 2.0, they change Super Mutants and Power Armor respectively to resemble the ones in FO1 and FO2, purely aesthetic but adds a lot of flavor especially for Power Armor.

The only game I’d care for dong customization would be a porn game, otherwise why bother, I’d rather see more hairs and body shape options instead.
