Generally anything in the 6 range of IMDB is bad, 7 is average/good, 8+ is good/great.

Fallouts always been one of those games that’s broken into the mainstream tho, I’d put it up there with COD and FIFA tbh…

This isn’t some sort of niche game that’s suddenly getting mainstream attention, if anything it’s always been a game for “casuals” (no offence intended, just can’t think of a better way to say it).

I’d say that the market being brought in is the one that Bethesda was aiming for since at least Fallout 4.

I just don’t get that, I thought they planted throughout the entire series that she’s genuinely unstable and might snap.

Was it poorly executed? Yes. But I don’t think they fucked up the core idea behind her character arc, which is what I saw a lot of people angry with.

Yeah, too many “journalists” chuck around the term review bombed to mean when a AAA game gets a load of (deserved) hate.

I know Lemmy hates it, but I really think AI could play a core part in the future of multiple choice RPGs.

I’m not saying let it be free and build the entire game, but if you train a model to be a certain character and add limitations so it doesn’t go too wild, then that could be massive imo.

Still have a human storyline and imagination behind the game, but use AI like the tool it is for certain parts.

It can have both.

You could have a fully man made storyline, but then expand the world in a way that is currently impossible.

Even if you train a model for main characters/stories, it would still be built off the work of writers, the model would simply be the character they’ve written.

AI isn’t going to be the answer for everything, but I think it will have a massive impact on video games, in both positive and negative ways.

No doubt some companies are going to be putting out absolute dogshit AI games.

I like how the landlord duties they mention are usually completed by other people.

They pay tradesmen to fix things and a lot rely on management companies to handle the houses/tenants. The cost of those services is then passed onto the tenant in the form of higher rent.

You’re right, it’s the same as the lonely people being exploited by Twitch streamers or YT creators.

There’s a point it goes from “supporting a creator” to “throwing money at someone so they acknowledge your existence and you feel validated”.

Honestly part of the reason I stopped watching twitch, it’s just sad at a certain point as these people think they’re actually friends with the creator, rather than just enjoying the stream for what it is.

The whole donation/sub part of twitch culture is disgusting imo.

Porn and OF are essentially two separate things though.

Sex workers do work and they should be paid for it, because it’s just work. OF creators often exploit desperate peoples’ emotions to take their money.

People watch porn to beat their meat and satisfy a physical urge, whereas a lot of people subscribe to OF for a fake connection that only worsens and warps their view of a healthy relationship.

If you wanna pay for Brazzers then go for it, if you’re simping for an OF creator who’s happy to just take your money then that’s sad.

True, but I think the key difference is that one is an exchange of services, and the other is taking advantage of peoples desperation for a connection, whether that be a romantic connection or just friendship.

Satisfying physical urges with porn or supporting a twitch streamer you like is one thing, but these fake relationships between viewers and OF or twitch creators is wrong imo.
