If you are so confident in vegans harrassing almost-vegans who try to live without animal products, please name a single instance. I would genuinely like to see a comment like that because I havent seen any and Ive read a lot of arguments about veganism.

Ive been thinking about that and I have a theory that most of those “extremist vegans” are people trying to make others hate vegans. Im not positive this is true but it makes more and more sense to me.

Im pretty sure you yourself know how untrue that is. People who eat meat do so mainly out of habit. Habits get engraved in your personality in a way that your ego will defend them to the death. If anyone or anything tries to change or question your habits, your ego interprets that as a personal attack.

Its not really their fault, they have all the necessary information but cant overcome the habit hurdle. It depends strongly on your surroundings and how open you are to new things. It is not in our nature to question things that ‘have always worked this way’.

Isnt that what literally happens everywhere all the time in different context? ‘arabs beat their wives they are evil’, ‘indigenous people take halucinogenic drugs they are evil’, ‘russians kill and rape civilians they are evil’. Usually it is the strong that force their beliefs on the minorities, fortunately you cant force people to eat meat by law.

It is true that we evolved because of our omnivorous diet, that has absolutely nothing to do with our current diet though. Vegan proteins were not as common 300,000 years ago as they are now.

This argument has been refuted in dozens of publications. 1 minute of googling could save you from looking like a fool (except to those who believe the same bs, which is unfortunately still the majority).

You eat to survive, you dont eat meat to survive. Please do not pretend you do. You eat meat because it tastes good and because you like it, not because you need it. Im not trying to stop you from eating meat, everyone needs to make their own decisions, but if you start talking bs I will correct you.

Is this comment a joke? I cant keep up. There was zero accusation in the comment above. It was an objective observation without implications. Sounds to me like you like to play the victim role.

You probably started playing after they patched the romances. On the playthrough I started first, Gale and Asterion are super horny for my male character with absolutely no romantic interest in men. I was casually nice to them, just being friendly. Apparently I made huge romantic progress because the options were literally ‘take me to your magic world’ or ‘i hate you fuck off’. Both of them basically started going ‘I want you so bad’ every other sentence, I had to switch them out of my team. What BG3 is really lacking in this regard is the option to become good friends in non-sexual relationships, even after the patches.

I get what youre saying but ‘Everyones gender preference equals my gender and everyone wants a relationship just with me’ is kind of the opposite of my rl experience. It just feels so unnatural that all female characters are hetero while all males are gay automatically. The exact opposite if your character is female. Also, why cant you reject someone by saying you arent attracted to their gender? Coz thats what I would do irl, not just say ‘leave me alone’

It is not the homosexual attention per se thats bothering me, it is the lack of non-sexual friendship. Why cant I just be friends with someone without being hit on all the time. Sure, being hit on by women bothers me less because thats my sexual preference, but its just unrealistic in both cases. Yes its nice to have the option of all kinds of sexual relationships with characters, but I dont want it forced on me. I just want the option of being friends with men and women without them constantly seducing me.
