800XL,

Spoiler: it involves more work.

You have aumaua and then you have humans and elves who are at roughly the same scale, and then you have orlans and dwarves who are quite a bit smaller. And for each of those, especially in first person, you’re adjusting the height of the player character’s capsule and sort of where their weapons are relative to enemies and how their hits land and how hits land on them.

WarmSoda,

Lol that’s rough

Also probably they’d have to redesign a lot of the world so specific things and views they wanted you to see are at the right height.

800XL,

Isn’t that the point? They’re shorter. They’ll have trouble seeing the same stuff. That’s role playing.

And then you miss things that teach you how to play the game. “Role playing” doesn’t mean handicapping players who choose different options.

800XL,

I don’t think dwarves would take to you calling them “handicapped”. It’s a good way to get a bashed with a shield or kneecapped by a drunk dwarf with an axe.

MarcomachtKuchen,

I think thats fine, you’ll hardly see your character ever and body height makes the effort much higher than needed
