I was writing this out on my local !letstalkaboutgames and realised I was basically making a patient gamers post, so here’s a copy and paste:...
I picked up a Vita recently. So far, Gravity Rush is the only game that I definitely want to play. Any other recommendations? I’m pretty open with genres, as long as it’s something with a story.
I always got the feeling that this game was seen as a classic. I never owned a Gamecube growing up, but I’m pretty sure I remember my friend having one and playing Sunshine a bit (although he was way more into Zelda and Smash)....
Other than a slew of Nintendo titles that maybe hopefully will come down in price (the patient gamers’ bane), I have my eye on the next time Divinity: Original Sin 2 goes on sale. A friend who never plays anything other than WoW loved playing Larian’s newest with me and I’m trying to get her to pick this up. Pretty sure...
I finished Control last week, likely the best game to marry a creepy funhouse with a sprawling government office that you’ll ever play. I was up and down on this one for a few months. There’s a fun narrative and plenty of atmosphere, but I wasn’t always enjoying the gameplay....
So this isn’t directly related to patientgaming but my hardware and personal tastes kind of filter me to playing games no newer than five years old....
I think my first Bethesda game was Skyrim and I love Skyrim. I’ve played through Skyrim when it first came out I played through it again in the DLC came out. I played through it again on the switch I have since played through it again on PC. I love Skyrim. I played it so many times and I know it’s a meme to keep re-releasing...
So I finally started it....
I’m born in 1992 so this game is a bit before my time. I started playing it and got completely hooked. It’s an absolutely fantastic game that would still hold up as a quality indie game today....
Mirror’s Edge - This is a game I’ve been meaning to play for some time. A few years back I played the first couple of levels on a friend’s PS3 and recalled it being a fun experience. So when it went on sale for under £2 on Steam I couldn’t say no. It holds up exceptionally well for a game from 2008! The stylised...
Share your unfiltered, unpopular gaming opinions and let’s dive into some real discussions. If you come across a view you disagree with, feel free to (respectfully) defend your perspective. I don’t want to see anyone say stuff like “we’re all entitled to our own opinions.” Let’s pretend like gaming is a science and...
Top 10-25 games articles are all the same and obvious. Are there some less known or even obscure games, including bad-that-it’s-good ones, we can have fun with? What’s your experience with them? Bonus points if you played via an emulator.
Heia all! Do you have some recommendations on any strategy roguelites where you get bonuses that you keep between games?
I decided to try this game, almost 4 years after the PC release and 5 years after the PS release. To me it felt like this game got released a year ago, truly a patient gamer....

There’s a certain cheesiness and non-political-correctness that’s refreshing....
I’m not going to do a detailed write up on this but I’ve always heard that The Force Unleashed was a really good set of Star Wars games that are still worth playing today, if not for the game at least for the story. That wasn’t my experience at all....
This game was for some time in my watch list, but I have never pulled the plug, and oh boy, was I in for a treat....
Alas, the live service, bane of the patient gamer....
A friend of mine was a gamer many years ago but hasn’t been gaming in a while. They run a Mac and I run a PC. What are some good patient games we can play together?
I’ve been passingly interested in the Megami Tensei series for a while....
I’ve been trying to finish this write-up for a while now but due to the combination of limited time and constantly changing thoughts about the game it was a rather difficult process. It should be good enough to communicate my feelings about D3 but get ready for a wall of text, lots of rambling and rough edges - sorry about...
I really enjoy time loop games where the player can explore and there’s a story, and isn’t just a puzzle game. I played Outer Wilds a few years ago and I loved everything about it, it’s my favorite in the genre....
