Aside from the irony, it honestly wouldn’t be a bad idea to setup a demarc zone with US troops, similar to how Russia placed one in Azerbaijan and Armenia.
It would at least for the time being ensure the ceasefire actually holds, instead of expecting Israel not to break their “assurances” for the nth time.
