Drinking a Speciation Artisan Ales Cultured Club Exclusive 1 (2021) - Eastern Kille Rum Barrel Aged Sour Ale with Honey - 10%

Really tasty. The honey and rum come through just enough to not ruin the sourness.

Ritual Lab - Choco Porter

Perhaps more coffee than choco (or at least very dark chocolate), but very smooth. Super pleasant mouthfeel with fine carbonation and ever so slightly sticky. Sweetness and mild bitterness in good harmony.

Drinking a Bruery The Vine (2020) - Ale w/ grenache blanc grapes and viognier grapes aged in oak barrels - 12.2%

This one is a really nice sour. Very white wine like with that oak barrel finish. Loving it.

I’ve bought a new pot, red, beautiful and enameled. The old one I used to have was cracked. And my two cast Iron pots are not enameled.
So I ended up cleaning that cupboard & sorting pots and pans (not really what I planned to do today). And I have loads. Some from the bottom and back are really dirty & need a thorough clean.
I will have to decide which should go for keeping in the basement. For a single person the amount is ridicules & I’ve not even got to the lids on the top shelf 😱

Abbaye d'Aulne - Brune

👃🏻 Cherry chocolates. Caramel, plum.
👁️ Dark brown, clear. Copious off-white foam.
👅 Red fruit. Very rich in esters. Tiny background of roast. Fruity sweet onset, dry bitter finish. Good balance. Classic Dubbel.

Gantelwasser - Brabbelwasser (Belgian IPA)

Extremely flaky (picture is with 10% still in the bottle, and gently poured). Very high in carbonation. Medium, but astringent bitter. Citrus and pine. Little room for the malt body.
