anyone here fancy themself some GameCube?
by far my favorite console of all time since i first got it, i love pretty much everything on it. someone actually ported a game to the gamecube in the modern day (albeit it needs Swiss, a homebrew app to run) and it’s just so cool to see that it refuses to die

Just another Reddit Refugee!
Here we go, I guess! Babby’s first Lemmy post.
Privacy respecting Android roguelites / roguelikes? Also other privacy respecting Android games?
Hi all,...
Not really a shitpost but I’m really enjoying lemmy
Idk how to explain it and I imagine it’s been said plenty of times by now but it’s just, way easier to engage with posts here, usually on Reddit I’d just ignore the whole commenting aspect and just scroll through media....
Recommending Slay the Spire
Ive been loving this game. Its a card game with lots of depth to the optimization and some RNG but its not overly punishing. If youre looking for a fun casual game try it out! Its less than $10 on sale right now.
Got my Glove80
Got my Glove80 yesterday 🎉. Still too early for a proper review, but loving it so far. The transition from a Kinesis Advantage is straightforward , the pinky columns feel easier to reach which is a definite improvement....
Stray is one of the best short games I've ever played.
If you're not familiar with Stray, it's a PS4/PS5 game where you play as a cat. It's a very short game; the main story can be beaten in an afternoon. However, it's available on PS+ (although going away soon), and can be purchased outright for
Steam Summer Sale - What are your favorite Local Multiplayer Games?
What great local multiplayer games are on sale right now? Online is fine, but nothing is better than cracking open some cold ones and getting in front of the big screen together. Here are some of my favorites....
Have you ever felt overwhelmed by how to spend your gaming time?
I have a sizable collection of games across retro and current platforms, as well as a Steam Library and a huge itch.io bundle of software. I have opportunities abound for games that I could play. But some days, I get stuck trying to figure out...
What kind of players are in this community?
I’m interested in what kind of people hang around in here since the community is so small and so new....
Just showing appreciation to Jesper Kyd for the Darktide soundtrack!
The Darktide soundtrack is absurdly good. I really hope Jesper Kyd gets the chance to create more music for the game in the future....
How do you feel about AI in your RPG games?
With the increase of accessibility of AI for both text and art, the implications on the RPG world have been greatly apparent. I have an ongoing 5e game that I run on a Foundry server, but this can also apply to the other variety of TTRPG games out there as well....
PSA: Lemmy Language Settings (English edition)
We’ve been investigating some recurring issues with the user experience on the instance, and have traced it back to the way Lemmy handles language settings....
mil-sim horror game????
Hey all, the subject is basically the question. Are any of you aware of a mil-sim (or somewhat of a milsim) survival game? I know Arma 3 has some mods, but I just find A3 clunky and hard to manage content for. I am also aware of the chernobyl game, whose name escapes me... but it appears to have trouble running on modern...

I’m looking for good video game blogs to follow via RSS. One I found recently that I’m liking is www.blog.radiator.debacle.us/?m=1

Is it me or are games really not fun anymore
The best part of video games back in the day was making memories with your friends, now it all feels like structured fun. “This is how you play the game and this is when you are supposed to have fun” Idk if that makes sense.
Good PS1 games that weren't made in Japan?
I do like myself a good Japanese game every once in a while, but right now I’m looking for other PS1 games made outside of Japan that are still very fun to play.
This blame game over Canadian wildfire smoke has got to stop
This new normal of near-constant wildfire smoke annoys me as much as the next person. But it serves as a reminder that we share one fragile atmosphere that we’re collectively screwing up. Fruitless to waste all this energy pointing fingers like children when we should be joining hands to fix this. It’s like nature’s...
the API changes occur tomorrow, gentlemen, it's been an honor (inb4 Lemmy completely crashes)
What are your favorite split-screen co-op PC games?
My wife and I like to play games together, but PC devs often skip couch co-op options. For example, I bought Halo Master Chief Collection because I know Halo co-op is legendary and I never really played Halo growing up, nor did she. But the PC version specifically doesn’t have split screen co-op where the console version does....
