Artemis, to fediverse in Is Lemmy.ml missing from the fediverse explorer?

I’m on Lemmy.ml and am anything but a “tankie”. Love it here. Tonnes of tech/varied posts in my main subscribed feed and I’ve never noticed anything other than a minimal dose of drama…Facebook or Reddit are much more toxic in comparison which is part of the reason I left those places.

Artemis, to startrek in What are some underrated episodes from each series?

Voyager: S3, Ep. 23, “Distant Origin” is one of my absolute favs. It follows the team’s interactions with a not-so-alien race and the friction in their culture between science/academia and religion. I love Voyager overall, but this episode had me on the edge of my seat.

Artemis, to privacy in Smart meter data: the Government’s at it again

The Ontario government has had a few initiatives to push smart thermostats and my area just had our water meters upgraded to smart ones. I know nothing about the water meters, but I block the Google telemetry from my Nest Thermostat (unrelated to the gov’t program) via my pi-hole at least. By definition, if you sign on to the Enbridge thermostat initiative you are agreeing to send your usage. Not really sure of the impacts of this article on Canada, but pretty chilling nonetheless!

Artemis, to canada in Who here's committed to not shop at Loblaws' companies this month (and beyond)?

My mom bought a 50% off rotisserie chicken from Zehrs yesterday that looked shrivelled and disgusting…7 dollars after the half off 😳. Managed to convince her to join the boycott at least!

Artemis, to canada in Who here's committed to not shop at Loblaws' companies this month (and beyond)?

Saying farewell to Zehrs will be easy but I could never give up my beloved Costco!

Artemis, to gaming in What is your game to de stress ?

Skyrim, without a doubt. That ambiance…

Artemis, to gaming in Weekly “What are you playing” Thread || Week of October 29th

Dragon Age: Origins. Haven’t played since it’s release and wanted something in the same vein as the original Baldur’s Gate…does not disappoint!

Artemis, to gaming in Elder Scrolls Online is free on Epic right now

I run it through Steam as a “non-Steam” game via Proton and have also run it with Lutris. It runs on both 100% fine, if not even better than Windows. In fact, this game running great has convinced me to finally drop my dual boot!
