The answer to your question is in the last part of your comment, once you stop to process it So people literally look at pictures as a whole for just a second or two and only notice one or two key details, like human faces and then either move on (especially on social media)
I think most people are still not used to thinking pictures might be AI generated especially when the face, the first thing we generally focus on, looks pretty solid. AI is getting better and it’s hard to keep up.

And what kind of math is that? 50k Hamas would have to be killed for the 300k number to matter. The actual number of Hamas killed is way way lower. There is some dispute over the exact number, but between 6-12k which would be between 36-72k civilians killed.
I understand your position, but I’m still concerned that it is an attempted genocide due to the high number of civilian casualties, the methods israel has been taking such as using phosphorus bombs and pushing all civilians south to Rafah and then starting to bomb Rafah as well, and just by what israeli officials have said that are genocidal in nature.
Right cuz 30,000 dead in 4 months is nothing. Did you think a genocide means every Palestinian is dead in 4 months? If that happened, every country on earth would have declared war on israel two months ago and every israeli official would be in prison for crimes against humanity.
As it is, the vast majority of scholars and countries do recognize it as a genocide and even America, israels biggest supporter, is saying maybe they should stop the killing of innocent civilians.
If the pace of killing and bombing keeps up for another year, I could guarantee a million Palestinians would be dead. Give me an exact number that israel has to reach before you admit it’s a genocide. Seriously, give me a number.

I don’t have to live in israel to know that over 30,000 Palestinian civilians (about half of them children) have been murdered, millions kicked out of their homes and displaced, and their infrastructure, homes, schools, hospitals, electric grid, Internet, and way of life has been (and is still being) bombed into nothing. I know 90% of Palestinians are living in a food shortage, with half of those in severe food and water shortage at serious risk of starvation, with almost all aid being blocked by israel. There is now not a single part of Palestine that is a safe zone for israel’s bombing, which has been going for four months of nonstop destruction surpassing the force of several nuclear bombs. I know disease is rampant, stillborn births are increasing, as they have no way to maintain hygiene or provide medical intervention with nearly everything being leveled including their hospitals.
And I know just a couple miles away, israelis are living life as normal. Going to concerts, parties, eating and drinking. No one is worried about israel being wiped off the map, or overrun, or destroyed because, apart from Oct 7th and some homemade Hamas rockets that have been mostly intercepted, no one in israel is being impacted by the ‘war’
Former IDF soldiers talking about how brutal they have been to Palestinians, former israeli hostages complimenting their captors on their kindness, over 70 years of well documented apartheid, being able to see everything firsthand through social media, the multiple times israeli government officials have publicly supported wiping Palestine off the map, and being caught in obvious lies, all of that is more than enough for me and dozens of countries and millions of people come to the same conclusion.
israel is committing a genocide. It may have been hard to see at first, but as the bodies of the innocent pile up and the hostility of israel continues past any excuse of self defense, you cannot deny it unless you also want Palestine gone or have listened exclusively to israeli propaganda.

At a deeper level though, it’s about the ones in charge placating their victims by giving them something that won’t actually help them out of their bad situation. And also maybe that knowledge without action won’t change anything. That kind of situation and lesson could be applied to so many things, like rich people telling poor people to go to college to get degrees that don’t actually help enough with pulling themselves out of poverty because in reality the game is rigged.

PC gamers love PC gaming because it’s more open and you’re not locked into a certain ecosystem. Ubisoft artificially limiting their online release to two launchers (both known for being poor quality/buggy/feature lacking) is frustrating. Buying a hard copy might be possible, but Ubisoft did this on purpose to squeeze out a little extra profit. It shows they’re more than happy to put profits over customers. A customer being annoyed this release excludes their preferred launcher doesn’t make anyone a shill.
I care. Pretending intent doesn’t matter just allows the hatred this mod creator has to grow. They didn’t make that change in good faith, it’s a common dog whistle for right wing bigots. Around 1% regret transition, and often because of backlash from those around them, not because they’re not trans.
When someone’s intent is to criticize and invalidate a trans person’s very existence, I care. And obviously plenty of people do since the mod was removed.
Steamdb is useful for a couple different reasons. It shows you more stats than just the number of players, it also shows the price history and what’s on sale (you can filter only the games at a historic low price for the best deals), when a game was released and last updated (great to see if it’s an abandoned game), some other cool stuff that players might like to check before buying a game.
I usually go there during the seasonal sales and it helps save me money after seeing that most games have been that price before so it can probably wait until I actually have money haha
