I know! I was so impressed seeing my deep gnomes penis jangling about during dialogue scenes. Thank god you can remove your party’s’ clothes.

Nope. What you’ve highlighted is the need for more game devs to create free demos so people can try the games before they buy them.

If you download a game, find you really like it, and then buy it, you’re not harming anyone nor are you withholding funds from artists.

A bit before my manufacture date but as a kid there used to be CD ROMs in cereal boxes which had games like Tonka, Hot Wheels, Timon and Pumba, Rainbow Fish, etc. Those were hype.

Kids on Roblox are hosting protests for Palestine (techcrunch.com)

In the Lego-like world of Roblox, about a hundred blocky avatars march through a lamplit street, wielding Palestine flags that are larger than their own animated bodies. Characters dressed like cartoonish dinosaurs, steampunk zombies and pastel pink pop stars chant together via instant messages in both Malay and English as they...

Sorry, it looks like you are heavily implying that the Hamas terrorist attacked that killed over 1400 Israelis in their own homes and at festivals is acceptable and it’s only a matter of perception?

Your opinion allows for absolutely zero nuance. Someone capable of empathy would see that the intentional murder of innocent civilians on EITHER SIDE of this conflict is a tragedy and morally wrong. I’m sorry that is all lost on you.

PerogiBoi,
@PerogiBoi@lemmy.ca avatar

If one of my employees cheered on an attack on civilians with huge casualties they would be gone as well. From either side. What the fuck is wrong with you people?

Y’all want the freedom to cheer on and encourage civilian deaths but don’t want anyone else free to call you out for it.

Billionaires are immoral by existence. A billion is such a radically large sum of money. You don’t become a billionaire without being an immoral bag of slime first.

PerogiBoi,
@PerogiBoi@lemmy.ca avatar

There are many people who can only do grunt work. If they don’t have a means to make money, society will unravel.

PerogiBoi,
@PerogiBoi@lemmy.ca avatar

If you’ve been paying attention to society over the last 5-10-15-50 years you’ll see precisely that this concept will never be implemented. It would take catastrophe and the destruction of current society.

My comment was a reply to another user, quoting the exact same verbiage as them to offer them a counter point.

Instead, you’ve deliberately skewed my entire comment and attached your own deranged rambling about “the elite class” to demonize me. We’re on the same side but you’re too lost to understand that.

If you had a bad day today, take it out on a pillow instead of harassing other people. Get yourself some help.

A thread made just for me.

I have a i5 256gb Surface Pro 5 running Pop_OS. Prior to that, I ran Ubuntu and prior to that I ran Fedora for a year or so.

Battery life is much worse than with Windows thanks to Windows keeping secrets about suspended sleep or something. I’m not a wizard I just follow guides and fart so that’s the most technical explanation you’ll get on that.

Webcam doesn’t work on any of the distros, you’ll want to install the Linux Surface kernel after installation to enable touchscreen and pen support. Not an issue for me but could be if you use it a lot.

After all that though, Linux of most flavours works very well. I fully removed Windows as I was getting issues with GRUB bootloader forgetting that Windows was installed. Fedora never had that issue but Ubuntu and it’s flavours were mean n rude on me.

Pen support is really good but Linux treats it as a mouse. That said, booting up Krita and drawing is a pretty good experience. Not as flawless as on Windows but very similar.

Fedora installation worked pretty flawlessly with a dualboot into Windows so I’d recommend that if you still want to keep Windows.

Cuphead and I fucking hated it. Lovely art style and retro feel but my god. I play video games to unwind and have fun. What the hell maaaaaaaaaan.

I will stop using Linux / PC for 10 months. What do you think will happen in that period?

Long story short, this year is my exam preparation year and due to my nature I will take extreme measures to prevent distraction and focus on studying. I will decommision my PC, stop browsing Linux & tech related websites and leave this beautiful place called Lemmy. To make things clear, I am not influenced by anyone for doing...

PerogiBoi,
@PerogiBoi@lemmy.ca avatar

Ya for real. I use my Linux Surface as a replacement for my phone because everything about my phone is built to distract me and keep my attention.

What games have you played in the last 365 days that stand out to you as the most memorable experiences?

I think the most common answer is going to be Tears of the Kingdom, and that is one for me that stands out for sure, but I will try to add some more unique inputs as well. Many are games that came out longer than a year ago, but i didnt get around to playing until more recently....

OP if you liked Project Wingman VR, you absolutely owe it to yourself to try out VTOL VR.

As a combat flight simulator enthusiast I can’t recommend it enough. Virtual joystick so you don’t need to set up a HOTAS (it works surprisingly well), online multiplayer with a very active modding/custom scenarios community, and a good balance between realism and arcade.

I literally rebuilt my pc with this game in mind 🤪

Fr Snowrunner has made me appreciate getting through obstacles through constant perseverance a little better.

It also gave me more confidence to go on more off-road trails with my bike. This had negative consequences as I got almost stuck in a bog.

Surron Lightbee X. Is a zippee lil guy

PerogiBoi,
@PerogiBoi@lemmy.ca avatar

I find it has more than enough power and torque than I’d ever need. The problem is there is no rear tire. It runs on two front tires so you don’t get a thick knobby tire at the back to spin you out of deep mud.

I went overboard after and bought super aggressive off-road tires for when these wear too far down 🤓

PerogiBoi,
@PerogiBoi@lemmy.ca avatar

Truly depends on how I ride it. For mostly on road travel at 60-80 km/h I’ll get about 40km range but if I drive it off-road with hills I can get about 3.5 hours of runtime and 60+km.

These are all estimates as I’ve never ridden it long enough to fully drain it from 100% to 0.

PerogiBoi,
@PerogiBoi@lemmy.ca avatar

Ya these things are quite highly variable so claims will be all over the place.

They’re way more expensive but very worth it. Zero maintenance (except for brakes when I’m not using regen and tires) and just normal chain degreasing/lubing you’d do on any bike.

PerogiBoi,
@PerogiBoi@lemmy.ca avatar

Do you have a link to the bike? I’ve never heard of it and I’m curious now haha

PerogiBoi,
@PerogiBoi@lemmy.ca avatar

Oh whoa that’s a very interesting looking bike. Looks like a mix between dirtbike, scooter, and older Yamaha cruiser bike with that headlight. I dig it!

How fast and far can it go?

PerogiBoi,
@PerogiBoi@lemmy.ca avatar

Very cool!!! You get slightly better mileage than my car ;)

PerogiBoi,
@PerogiBoi@lemmy.ca avatar

A fair bit more haha 😂

What type of game do you want to play that doesn't really exist?

Have you ever played a game and wondered what if you could do something that it doesn’t really allow you to do, for example being able to move around blocks in Minecraft fluidly instead of in sectors, edit the world in Hogwarts legacy with spells, be able to fly in a world like Elden Ring or Elder Scrolls with epic sky...

PerogiBoi,
@PerogiBoi@lemmy.ca avatar

I want Stellaris or something similar but in VR. I want to spin the galaxy around and resize it to zoom in and out with my hands and pluck cruisers and point them to the right place, I want big tactile sliders and stuff for controls, spaaaaaace

Star Wars Jedi Knight Academy! Enjoying an old game that my parents wouldn’t let me have because it was “too violent”

Also FTL! Snagged it for $2 on Steam.

PerogiBoi,
@PerogiBoi@lemmy.ca avatar

My last PC build had a GTX 1060 that I bought at the time for $330.

My most recent one has an RTX 3060Ti and I paid over $700 for it 😭

If GPU prices don’t come down it’s going to be cheaper and smarter for me to buy a prebuilt PC, at least where I live.

Snow Runner! Very chill if you like driving and nice sceneries. But it becomes Dark Souls real quick.
