Sunny,

They really are! Love that it’s even possible to make your own image with on tweaks and such, really cool.

Sunny,

Depends on the specs and what you want to use the PC for really.

Sunny,

Bazzite also has the backing of a bigger group of developers and community. Whereas Nobara is developed by a solo (kudos to him). But I would say Bazzite differs quite a bit too with its immutability, automatic updates, and thanks to libostree technology, after every update the previous version of the operating system is retained on your machine. This means, should an update cause any issues, you can select the previous image at boot. Additionally, it has support for gamescope, meaning Steam can boot straight into Big Screen mode, which is very handy for gaming pcs and steam decks etc… Can read the rest of the details over at bazzite.gg, if you’re not convince :P

Sunny,

It is true that Bazzite had some bluetooth issues, if that’s what you’re referring too. Personally, got hit by this too, but can warmly say that none of those issues remain on their latest 3.0 version. PM me if you need help setting it up or have any questions :)

Are there any tools out there to compare Privacy Policies against each other?

Hiya, just quickly wondering if anyone know about a good tool for comparing Privacy policies against each other? Im currently downloading each PP, then using self-hosted StirlingPDF to compare 1 on 1. However, I am looking for a more efficient tool, to compare multiple at the time, if there are any. Any tool that can handle...

Sunny,

While this is a great service, it’s not a tool that allows me to enter my own downloaded privacy policies and compare against others, as far as I’ve understood it? This seems like a service that you can upload a PP too and wait for it to be processed.

Sunny,

Preferably line by line. Kind of like what Github does whenever you apply a commit, it will make a red line for what is removed and a green line for what is added code. I could look into LLMs though, but was hoping to find a quick n dirty tool to do the job.

Sunny,

This is pretty close to what im looking for actually, thanks for sharing! :)

Sunny,

Thanks for the tip!

Sunny,

I’m only going through 10 of them, so personally it would be quicker to do it manually.

Sunny,

Hahaha haha I cannot believe someone made www.zzzuckerberg.com, that’s just freaking hilarious! Love that the brightness also decrease the further you scroll 😂

Sunny,

thanks very much for sharing ☘️

Sunny,

Could someone share the contents of it? Have newly registered domains blocked by default.

Sunny,

Thank you 🙌

Sunny,

NextDNS. Has a setting to block all domains that’s newer than 30days. Which imo is a very very good idea to have on, considering malware and scams. And I very rarely visit such new sites, and if I do (I learnt now) I can just shive the url in Archive and it will show it to me that way.

Sunny,

The article

No rest for No Rest For The Wicked’s developers, it seems. The punishing action-RPG launched in Steam Early Access last week with performance issues, among other issues, and Moon Studios have now deployed their first hotfix.

Performance improvements are “coming soon”, they say, while this update focuses on improvements to balance and several of the game’s core systems. Among them, the update reduces durability damage taken to gear, reduces repair costs, increases the drop rate on Repair Powders, and reduces stamina costs and fall damage. Here’s the full list of changes:

</span><span style="color:#323232;"> Removed lingering dev tools
</span>

When I poked through user reviews on Steam earlier in the week, durability and repair costs were two of core complaints I saw. To my surprise, if I’m honest. No Rest For The Wicked seems clearly to be courting dodge-roll melee fetishists, who I assumed to be video game masochosts, and yet they seemed to be pounding dirt and crying uncle. Or maybe it just really was bonkers unfair.

Earlier this week, Moon outlined a list of known issues, with solutions to some, if you’re experiencing a proble the above patch doesn’t fix. Remappable controls are coming soon, too.

Sunny,

In February, numerous schools in Chennai were targeted with hoax bomb threats sent via encrypted email service Proton Mail. The Indian government sought action against Proton Mail due to its misuse by malicious individuals. Swiss authorities intervened to prevent the platform from being blocked in India. Despite police efforts to trace the origin of the threats, Proton Mail’s encryption hindered investigations. The company refused to comply with Indian authorities’ requests for information, citing Swiss law. Proton Mail argued that blocking the service wouldn’t deter cybercriminals and could impede legitimate users. This incident isn’t the first time Proton Mail has faced controversy; it was previously blocked in Russia for similar reasons.

Sunny,

you can have it too, considering you’re on separate instances :P

Sunny,

Many privacy focused services have blogs where they will publish privacy related stories and news. So I suggest you look at the services that you like and or already use to see if they have blogs you can follow too.

Here are a few different ones, not all 100% privacy focused though.

Have a nice day 🌻

Sunny,

Cannot wait for this game to come out, first game was a blast to play - truly unique from other games I’ve played.

Sunny,

Should update the Tor mercy link from the donate page to this maybe. Seems like one needs to contribute to be able to earn a shirt 👚

community.torproject.org/relay/…/swag/

Sunny,

Og takk til din innsats! :) I’ve starred it and will share this next time someone asks about merch, as I always see someone from time to time ask about it.

Sunny,

Probably check out Batman series, they run quite well on Linux, just been working my way through them myself. Otherwise Red Dead Redemption 2 I found difficult to put away once I started.

Most games will run fine through Steam, as long as you check of the compatibility box in steam settings. Otherwise there is Heroic Launcher, and Lutris as different launchers.

Do you take pictures with GPS tags on?

Hiya, so quickly wondering wether you have enabled this or not. Obviously it’s not great for privacy, but it also seems very nice to have for image cloud solutions, so that images can be sorted based on location. Are there any good solutions for this? I’d like have it enabled, but also afraid of sharing images with sensitive...

Sunny,

Right, it’s just a tedious process doing that each time you were to share something…

Sunny,

All valid points, I was more thinking about in the cases of sharing the pictures online - with others. Something I do occasionally at least. But find it a bit tedious to make sure the metadata from those are gone.

Sunny,

Nice find! Thanks for sharing :)

Sunny,

Have tried to troubleshoot a bit further, and sometimes it will pop-up like normal, but other times it wont. But for some reason my Dolphin can also not search for files, it will just freeze and hang until i close it. Seems like the issue is deeper…? Even using the command ls in BlackBox Terminal just hangs and makes the terminal freeze.

Not sure how to proceed to troubleshoot this…

I believe this all happened after I installed Windows on a separate SSD on my laptop, but i dont know for sure.

Sunny, (edited )

Navigating here just makes my Dolphin freeze, im not sure why…

edit: It opens each folder after about 5 min of waiting.

Sunny,

dont think it is sadly, was working well before. Have not edited it much either. Also further troubleshooting seems there is something wrong with my system.

Sunny,

Well this is a pretty new install, probably only a month old. But have not ran either of the commands you mentioned on this laptop.

Sunny,

Wasn’t able to do anything really, ended up doing a fresh install of Tumbleweed as I believe it will take less time than troubleshooting whatever the problem was. While not a great solution, I dont have the time right now to fiddle around heh. Will see if the issue remains on fresh install and to health checks ofc.

Sunny,

Hm that would be possible as I do mount one. But not sure why that would cause all the issues that was at hand. I’ve since reinstalled suse 🙃

Sunny,

Nope, almost a fresh install and barely used a week or so. Really don’t have a lot…

Sunny,

AFAIK, just that it isn’t fully open source. It is source available however, but that’s not the same. It’s sad that they dont go through with it as Vivaldi is by far the most feature rich browser out there.

Sunny, (edited )

Garuda was my first ever distro ! A very pleasant distro, performed really well and ran everything I wanted of games with a breeze.

Sunny,

Hahaha this exactly!! Been jumping all over the place trying to find my favourite distro. Personally love trying new ones and do it probably ever other week. So far though, Tumbleweed is what I feel most comfortable with, however, NixOS is probably gonna get another good go later won when I have enough time to truly learn the ins and outs of it.

Never tried Void though, you’ve peaked my interest 🙌

Thoughts about Posteo?

I’ve thinking about ditching my Protonmail email address with Posteo since I need IMAP support (because I hate using the Protonmail app) and honestly paying for Proton Mail Plus didn’t worth the money because they are pushing me to buy the Protonmail Unlimited but I don’t need all those capabilities nor would I use them...

Sunny,

Posteo is great, it’s simple yet has all the features one needs. It doesn’t overwhelm users either with what you mention, bigger better tiers… Other honerable mentions if you’re keen on checking out other mail services are: Runbox, Mailbox and Fastmail.

Sunny,

What is Creation Club, to those of us not familiar with the franchise?

Sunny,

Oh, I’m hoping this means paid, as in the modders get paid and not Bethesda…

Edit: I was wrong…

Sunny,

God dammit…

Sunny,

Thanks for this, will definitely incorporate some of this into my workflow!
