I'm the type of guy who hates New Vegas because it felt awful to shoot things (and that's why I'm still addicted to Destiny). Aiming's a bit weird, and shotguns don't have too much impact, but other than that, it's not the worst shooter I've played. I'll probably stick with it.

I had literally never heard of it until people were shitting on it.

Not sure how I feel about the ranking of the RG35XX compared to the MM+ (or how they called the RG35XX weak when it can emulate some DS and PSP through Koriki). Also, the 351V higher than the 353V? Tf?

Just want a solid gaming laptop (reddit.com)

My mom likes to play No Man’s Sky and Valheim, but her Asus TUF started freezing on games. RMA found no problems and sent it back to her but it still happens. I ordered a Legion for her but now I see these posts about all Nvidia 40-series laptops freezing up. What’s a gaming mom supposed to do?

I'm not sure about Valheim, but I can vouch that No Man's Sky runs well on Steam Deck.

God, seeing screencaps of Minecraft with terrible hotbars, or anyone else's Destiny inventory (seriously, delete shit, it's only your fault that your postmaster is full by the end of a strike)

Exotics too, if it's not an Exotic you use often, you can make due with a collections roll. It's cheap to MW if you're at the point where you have multiple builds, and weapons are just weapons, if there's no high kill tracker, you don't need to worry about pulling (Hawkmoon, DMT, and the craftables non-withstanding).

Shit purples drop like candy too, so infusion fodder's not an issue.

Thanks, I've heard the "sleep" mode in Garlic OS saves state, then powers the device off, then loads the state back up, which obviously will take more time than a sleep mode, but as long as it only takes a few seconds, I can live with it. Obviously it's not a true sleep, but it works well enough for me. Can't find anything regarding this for Batocera, so I suppose I'll go with Garlic OS. Maybe one day that GPU will be enabled there and I can play DS on it lol.

So far it seems GarlicOS is what I want, outside of DS support. Have the dev(s) mentioned anything regarding unlocking the GPU like Batocera?

Thanks. I've set up an SD card with Garlic for when it arrives, and I'll keep an eye out for news on Koriki. Link Cable emulation is certainly interesting to me, at least in the future, since a device like this would be a neat gift for my nephews once they're old enough to start playing games like Pokemon.

If you're into Pokemon, the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games are fantastic. They aren't the hardest roguelike in the world (still harder than a mainline Pokemon game though), but they're fun. The stories are also incredible (can only speak for Rescue Team and Explorers, haven't played the 3DS titles yet).

Arknights (shout out to my kbin mag !arknights). It's a fun lil tower defense that you can easily pull out and grind some materials. Keep in mind that it is a gacha game, so there's definitely aggressive monetization, but it's definitely on the F2P-friendly side in terms of gacha.
