ddkman,

The reason a class action hasn’t been filed, is because it is not their fault. The emissions are measured in a certain way, and that is kinda favorable for PHEV-s. Of course this is besides the point. The ORIGINAL reason hybrid cars are popular, is because they are cheap to maintain, but pretty good on fuel. The fact that they kinda cheat these newer emission tests, is more of a side effect.

ddkman,

Can I use this fantastic opinion to back racism as well, or is is exclusively reserved for sexism? Thanks!

ddkman,

Also the nuclear war never happened. Shooters on the other hand…

ddkman,

Ah yes, the steam machines. Combining the downsides of PC and Consoles since 2015.

ddkman,

Which is a device that combines the downsides of an UMPC and a handheld game console?

I have.

ddkman,

I have it sucks. What do you want me to say?

It is expensive to buy, it is not especially well built, has a display from 2009, has specs from about 2013, has fans so you cant leave it on a bed turned on, it takes up insane space, honestly more than a laptop because of the stupid shape, needs a case, because it doesn’t fold like a laptop or a nintendo DS, the matte screen is only for the top of the line one which is taking the piss.

The software it runs, for better or for worse is linux… Some games work, some don’t. There. What should I have missed?

Edit: The battery life is poor.

ddkman,

In my view this is short sighted. A game with this many systems in it may actually need time to be decently optimised for keyboard and mouse inputs. When GTAV finally released it also carried a bunch of improvements. R* doesn’t want to sell games consoles. They don’t make any.

ddkman,

I don’t LIKE the epic games store, but it is kind of fucking strange, that valve is a company whose literal monopoly is not only not questioned, but specifically celebrated.

ddkman,

For now… Except for all the showelware, and OS support of “the current” one…

ddkman,

Weeell “bullshit” is easy to claim but not necessarily untrue. So with android phones this is definitely a problem. Industry wide firmware support for these ARM SOC-s are often ranging from not long enough, to fucking atrocious. You get basically two years of new drivers, and a security update maybe. The way LinageOS manages to support phones like the note 3, from like android 4, to 11, is basically creating manifests, that use drivers from newer, still supported, but “similar-ish” components. And the note 3 was a flagship device, easily the fastest phone of it’s generation. These Chromebooks, especially the ones schools can and do afford, are built to the penny. There is ultimately no point in pushing a software update to a device for a significant cost, that makes it so slow that no reasonable person would ever consider using it.

What is the solution to this? Hard to say. Not buying hardware so incredibly obsolete that it has to run an alternate OS, is a start. Maybe just use PC-s and deploy linux.
