Oh wow I haven’t thought about Powder Toy since I was on /g/ like 15 years ago.

ILikeBoobies, to pcgaming in Wine 9.11 released continuing the ARM improvements

I know it’s because of the 20th anniversary update but seeing Postal 2 in the list was funny

That update broke the co-op mod though so I hadn’t used it

GeneralEmergency, to pcgaming in Valve faces a £656 million lawsuit in the UK for 'overcharging 14 million PC gamers'

Going to love witnessing the gymnastics G*mers will do to try and justify Steams Monopoly.

paultimate14,

So what’s your solution?

john89,

I’m a firm-believer that if there was a product that could compete with Steam, then people would use it of their own volition.

GOG is the only platform people ever willfully recommend to others without twisting their arms because of exclusives or deals. Why? Well, they have something Steam doesn’t. Epic, Blizzard, Rockstar, all of them have platforms that exist to do one thing: make rich people richer off of the backs of useful idiots.

Getting mad at Steam for having market dominance is asinine. Get mad at the market for rewarding bloated companies who put out garbage just to make themselves more bloated and the useful idiots who go along with it.

stardust,

It is easy to rant, but what is your actual solution?

Omega_Jimes, to pcgaming in ASUS reveal the ROG Ally X with more RAM, more storage, larger battery

There are too many handhelds coming out too fast that are too expensive with no differentiation.

I don’t know how long these companies are going to stay in the market.

Almost grabbed Battlesector last week on Steam. Think I’ll pick this bundle up!

I’m most pumped for the Stray Gods Musical Game. It’s also on the list.

rozodru, to pcgaming in ASUS reveal the ROG Ally X with more RAM, more storage, larger battery

I have a rog strix and I wouldn’t get another. the screen gets easily nicked, the battery quickly dies after a few months to the point now I MIGHT get 30 min out of it. the keyboard wears out quickly and god damn have I had problems with the hard ware. wifi/bluetooth randomly cutting out every few months where you have to open the laptop up and reposition/unplug and plug back in the wifi/bluetooth. had to reinstall the OS several times cause of hardware issues where the laptop just gets all fucky with the SSD.

I’ve had it for maybe 2 years now and I expect I’ll get less than another year out of it before it completely craps out.

If your looking for a f2p game similar to this just play Beyond All Reason.

Free and open source. No energy system or microtransactions.

Not asynchronous though.

I’ve bad feeling about SteamDeck 2.

So far, the biggest bourdary for Valve seem to be: no 3 for software, no 2 for hardware (but we may still get a SteamDeck 1: Episode 1… if SteamDeck OLED isn’t already that)
