The timeline of events is wild too. He says he was sexting with the kid in 2017, the same year he admitted on stream he cheated on his wife. But he got banned in 2020…yeah because if you read the bloomberg article you’d see it wasn’t until then that it was reported to twitch by either the victim, their family or someone close to them that it happened. proof in the pudding? literally two days prior to the ban Twitch released a statement about how it was investigating and cracking down on streamers who were discovered to be sexting minors on the platform. two days AFTER that statement doc gets banned (Ludwigs most recent video here: youtu.be/lMRu0jqQssw?si=QopJRTpxAUrICRIa&t=503 goes into detail)

It’s because there are more pedophiles than anyone wants to admit and many of those who live a truly blessed life think they can get away with it. What you’re seeing is that this is a big problem and nobody is doing anything to help.

Another former employee corroborated the story to The Verge. Dr Disrespect responded on Twitter by stating that the legal case was settled and “no wrongdoing was acknowledged”.
The fact that they did their own investigation and found enough to cut ties speaks volumes imo. I’m sure they can’t say anything else due to legal shenanigans or something
An allegation? For something that happened years ago, before they started working together? That they knew of before starting? Almost sounds like a civil suit waiting to happen
I'm going to assume that it's more than just an allegation and that it's sufficiently substantiated if they're willing to publicly cut ties with him like this. Their statement says that they confirmed the events with the involved parties, so I imagine they're confident in their decision.
That's how it seems to me due to his twitch ban as well. The guy is fairly popular and brings money in, I couldn't see Twitch banning him and losing the shared revenue unless the claim had damning evidence

They heard the allegation, looked into if it was true and how true it is, and found a reason to sever a major figure from the roster. That’s not a “it’s just an allegation” - that’s a third party investigating a potential child predator and not liking what they found.
It’s not just the fact they are paid but also they removed part of a quest, paywalled it for a lot and you still need to buy the rest of the quest not out yet!
